I am standing in the dealership this morning where a glum lady, right out of the Simpsons DMV, is explaining the ins and outs of tracking. This is all she does. Looks up visibility reports and handles the porters (arrivals and departures of vehicles).

I kid you not.. Here are two zingers:

“That Badlands you just missed? It arrived yesterday. VVR says still on the train.”
"They just show up sometimes”

and the best.. (only heard here in the Waiting Room..)

“I shouldn’t probably share this but the driver yesterday showed me a phone video of derailed transport rail cars in KC last week”.

Hopefully they got the chips out alive.

You certainly did go deep into the abyss. I hope you’ve come back out without too much damage to your soul.

Hopefully this helps you feel a little better...or maybe gives you false hope idk...but when ours was in transit the delivery date got pushed from 2/24 to 3/10. Was bummed but what can you do right? It showed up on 2/26...point is, hopefully your extra month wait isn't an extra month...and hopefully it wasn't on a derailed train...

Someone posted a list of never before seen “Delay” status”s on Vehicle Visibility Reports recently. The “Delay - Rail” was an example. My status was “No Idea. Ask next month”. Bounty on a drone shot of the KC train yard (free Etsy Key Chain!).

There are some real nice spy pictures of Ice Mountain (Michigan lot with 1000’s of vehicles full size Broncos waiting on chips).

I've been at an 02 priority since mid January, still no date. Hard to make sense of it all.

Same same, been rated Priority 2 for awhile.

It happens. I've a buddy that retired GM and took a job at a dealership for something to do - shuttle driver. Said he came into work last week and there was a haulaway out back with a delivery. Two cars on the top had been converted to convertibles. Driver forgot to lower, or didn't lower the upper deck enough, found a bridge.

It would seem that my talk with Ford Customer Service gave some accurate information. It does seem that the Tow Package is the real holdup on a lot of orders now. I don't think that anyone that has gotten a May build date had the Tow Package. The rep told me they were only filling 33% of orders with the Tow Package.

I ordered the tow package on my Badlands and have a begin build date of 23 May.

Do you know what your priority codes were? I order a few weeks before OB and Assist+ and nothing. I called Ford yesterday too and it was just in the queue - no constraints. Not completely frustrated yet - just curious if that priority code does make a difference.

Oh, nice! Thanks for the follow up! I have a 19 Priority Code, too. My dealer must have low allocation levels.

Some are getting built, but it still seems to be a choke point.

Priority 19 is standard. It has nothing to do with allocations.

I meant the reason I haven’t been scheduled was because of my dealer allocations and/or having other orders at the dealer with a higher priority.

Verified orders are supposed to get incremental allocation, so dealer allocation isn't supposed to factor into it now, except for all the shortages kind of force everything back into allocations.
