This could be due to a few factors, if they built 10,000 last month, they have over 3000 dealers so that's still roughly on average 3 per location (I know allocation is a thing but go with me) A good portion of those are Base and BB and even a few OB but far more of the former. A lot of people in here waiting extended period of time are for BL or custom OB. So to a certain extent yes but I dont necessarily think it's anything nefarious.
I assume the premium package (and whatever it's called for OB) is a big sticking point. The Long McArthur guy said a couple of weeks ago those aren't even scheduling, but I see units with those packages in dealer inventories.

I wonder if what is shown is really dealer inventories or a persons order. I ordered from Jeep and Mazda in the past and in both cases the vehicles showed up on their sites as inventory coming soon. Nothing shady happened, turned out their systems show everything coming in online.

Not a green window sticker. This is a dealer stock order.

This may be a dumb question, but I have to ask - does the dealer know why that’s happening? That is beyond frustrating, I’m sure.
They do. They can’t do anything though. On the rail car lookup, it changed tonight to pending pick up so hopefully it’s quicker than May.

With the recent news of Ford will not deliver stock order until after May… and BS built scheduled for May weeks…. I was hoping my 1/15/22 BL order will be in that batch……

Not!

I just called Ford directly for updates. I never received any email notices.

looks like mine will be more than 6 months.

I see some local dealers has cars same as my order stocked recently but just not the same color. I suspect they will want $$$ for that car in the lot.

Every dealer I have seen with a BS on the lot is charging a premium. It would seem that they are trying to make up for a lack of inventory by increasing prices on what they've got. It would seem that the market supports them.

I think I read here that the scheduling is done on Thursdays, so if scheduled this week we wouldn't know until later in the week. I ordered a week after you and I really hope its scheduled this week. If it is not scheduled this week or next I may just buy another car. My dealer said 16 weeks to delivery which is four months meaning delivery for end of May and the dang thing isn't even scheduled yet. When I first ordered I kept checking local dealer stock and for the same options one was 10k over MSRP and one was 5K over...they sold because they did not reach back out to me after I said no to that price. I can't stand this week to week waiting and the only reason I am waiting now is because I am stubborn and refuse to pay over MSRP lol.

Ordered end of December and haven’t heard squat. Need the vehicle by September at the latest but that’s a far chance from happening at this rate.

At least your dealer gave you some kind of estimate. My salesman basically shrugged his shoulders then later said maybe by miracle it could be as early as late in May, then on Friday the internet sales manager told me 2 months just to get a VIN and build week.

What I read was that they would not receive new stock allocations until May. They already have stock allocations that are scheduled for production (my tiny little dealership has 5 VINs scheduled for production, all lower trim levels though.) I hope this means Ford has heard all the cries and is scheduling as many retail orders as is physically possible. Asking for deeper data on this topic on the Blue Oval forums I got this exchange which I took to mean there are reasons we'll never be privy to because it would piss us off.

I’m the same… I don’t want to pay $$ over MSRP.

I am looking for alternatives… but seems like BSBL doesn’t have any competitor. I don’t need a bigger suv cus I have another big one on order…. No, it’s not a big Bronco. I’m waiting probably for 1.5 yrs for an Rivian R1S. Now that’s a long wait!

maybe I will call my dealer to check next week to see if mine will be scheduled this Thursday in late May. I guess a July delivery is still within the 6 months the salesman quoted me

In one review the driver said "I wouldn't try that in a CR-V." Over and over the BS proved itself to be capable, not just a funny shaped station wagon with adventurey stickers and plastic wheel flairs. It out performed everyone's expectations.

Since my family came together to pay for over half of this I've been told to get exactly what I want, no settling and no do-overs. It means extra wait time and frustration, but in the end it will be worth it because I'll have more than a funny shaped station wagon that won't get me where I want to go.

I guess I’m the newbie to the Waiting Room. I just ordered yesterday.

Bronco Sport Badlands
  • Cactus Gray
  • Carbonized Gray Roof
  • Premium Package
  • Towing Package
  • Ford 360
  • Cargo Shelf
I haven’t received any confirmation emails yet but I expect that will happen in the next day or two.
I just got an email from my dealer saying that the order has been placed! I don't know if the order was slow to happen or if the email confirming the order was slow to happen. Overall, this was lightning fast in comparison to the wait for the actual vehicle though.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think you are setting yourself up for some heartache. Reality is orders are going to take 4-6 months, and most likely closer to 6. Looking at your order date chances are you won't get a build date for another month or two. Maybe you will get lucky but I would not count on it.

Supply chain issues really did a number on the auto industry, and I suspect much of that has to do with the "just in time" process the auto industry has followed for 30+ years.
Hi Everyone!!!

I am just going to jump in here because I can finally give a comparison. I ordered a BS BL the first week of September. By the end of January beginning of February I cancelled my order as it disappeared into the great Ford hole. On 2/10 I went and ordered a FULLY loaded Jeep Gladiator. That vehicle is on a train and has passed through Nebraska with an ETS of this next week. That is 7 weeks from order to delivery. Others making orders are having the same experience as me.

I think Ford is just all hosed up and maybe some other manufacturers and not the entire auto industry.

My coworker ordered a Tesla the day after I ordered my BSBL. His experience has been significantly different than mine. No dealership salesman to give off skeezy vibes. He got a prospective delivery window immediately, and he can check the status on his online account any time he wants. His delivery window is basically the month of June into the first week of July, so the race is on. I'm not betting on Ford.

Pretty impressive timing on that Gladiator order! Hell, quicker than my Rubicon order back in 2018!
