I could be the oldest person on this forum at 73 (turn 74 in 2 weeks) and for the record I'm married (42 years) and have 3 adult children. I bought a 2022 Big Bend in area51 with co-pilot360 assist and tow package. It's mine, my wife has her mustang convertible which she occasionally lets me drive and is perfectly happy to be a passenger in the BS. I have wanted a Bronco Sport ever since Ford announced they were building them back in 2020. This could be the last vehicle I buy so I'm going to enjoy every minute I'm behind the wheel of it! Oh, and if my wife wants to drive it, I'm ok with that. Maybe!

Me and my wife purchased a 2021 bs outer banks she mostly has been driving it as her daily to work and around town, when we do go out together I tend to drive it. As far as total seat time comes I believe we probably both drive it around the same amount of time especially with it being winter. When summer comes that might change a bit since I tend to want to use my motorcycles even if we're both going to the same place.

28 Male, married 3 kids and another due in April.
It’s a cool car, sure a lot of young females and older people are seen driving these, basically due to the price.
I have a big bronco on order but think I’m going to pass on it as I really do love the bronco sport. It has all the tech I could ever want (the copilot 360+ is worth a hell of a lot more than the 900 bucks ford charges for it), it’s quiet, damn good looking and I haven’t had any problems with it.
I decided to wait for the new Ranger if I do get rid of my sport at all. All the other cars currently on the market don’t interest me, (aside from the new Nissan z) and I’ve done a lot of research.

I'm 50 and married with two teenagers one of driving age. The BS is my vehicle. My wife drives a Honda Passport (she loves hondas). The Passport is the vehicle that we take on family trips due to its size and comfort. I traded my 2019 Ranger Lariat for the BS BB. I got a smoking deal in May of 2020 when dealers were desperate and got an excellent trade in amount toward the BS. I traded a 2018 Honda Civic for the Ranger because I felt like I needed a truck to help take care of my wife's families' cabin in the mountains. Honestly at the time a small/mid size suv would have made more sense but there weren't any I really liked style wise. The BS has very cool, macho styling yet is still practical and fun to drive. It fits my lifestyle perfectly. Plus, now that I don't have a truck it was a perfect excuse to get a trailer which I am currently building right now (harbor freight folding). My wife hated the truck because it was a rough ride and noisy. She is mostly indifferent to the BS but says she likes it. That's fine with me because she is not a great driver. She seems to always curb the shit out of all the wheels on her vehicles. She is short and refuses to sit high enough so she can see better. The BS has taller sidewalls so they may be safe from her wrath anyway. All in all the BS is my favorite vehicle that I've ever had.

Great info and personal take. I could go test drive a 1.5L, but want the BL purely for the 2.0, so I’ll wait. I have sat in one and like the feel. I'm hoping when I eventually get mine that the test drive sells it. If not, back to square one. Thanks for your reply
I test drove a 1.5 and ordered a Badlands without ever driving one. When mine was delivered took it on a 45 minute test drive. Loved it and it exceeded my expectations. The ride was stiff due to over inflated tires and suspension not broken in. Now at 1,600 miles tires at correct pressure it rides great. Love the overall feel of the vehicle sort of hard to describe kind of truck like ride super awesome steering brakes but takes bumps with poise and super impressive acceleration. It is so much fun to drive such an enjoyable driving experience.

Great the hear. Hopefully I'll get a build email this week. Fingers crossed.

Ok, you beat me, I'm 73 next month. I have 4 children and 4 grandchildren. I bought a BB in velocity blue with all 3 packages. It reminds me of the IH Scout II I bought new in 1972, about the same color but with a white top. I have to say that the 1.5L, 3-cyl engine was almost a stopping point, until I actually drove one. Glad I did, it really changed my mind. Also, didn't plan it that way, but the BB, being blue and black is almost a perfect match for my 2008 Harley. I sometimes tell people that the car has a 1.5 L engine and the bike is 1.6.

I was the same way about the 1.5 and like you, I drove it and that was that. I have one grand child who lives in Vegas and I can't wait to drive the BS out there. It's been maanny years since I rode a two wheeler! Velocity Blue was my second choice. The Escape I traded was close to that color so I went with the Area51 which I really like.

I'm a married woman (29) and currently drive a lifted F-150. Trading it in for a BS for the gas mileage and just ready for something smaller. The idea of "manly" cars and "chick" cars is fading away. Most people consider Jeep Wranglers as "manly" cars but, at least here in Florida, I mainly see women driving them or teenage boys. Get whatever YOU want and have fun!! :)
As if! Wrangler is the Clueless car.

Mid 40’s m. It’s my daily driver. Ordered a Maverick, got tired of waiting so I bought a BS OB, really like it, ordered a BL hope to get a build date tomorrow too! Can’t justify the very low mpg of the big bronco.

My first vehicle was a 86 Bronco II, my wife an I get kinda nostalgic driving it around, she says it fits me.

Just curious about the age and gender demographics of current owners. Most importantly, regardless of who pays for it, who claims "it's mine" and drives it the majority of the time. I've been seeing a lot of female drivers, both young and older driving BS's in San Diego, way more than male drivers. I'm having that mid-life crisis at 40 on whether or not the BS is going to be my 'manly' car. You know how it is when you drive a 2011 Honda CR-V (this guy) and 90% of other drivers you see in the same car are double your age and/or the opposite gender. Those that have been here, know what I'm feeling. The majority of guys I know do not want to be seen in the soccer mom van, Prius, smart car, VW beetle, Kia soul, etc. Before anyone says it, I have no desire for the big Bronco, nor need to spend that much for a car that I will never use to its full capability. Also, yes a truck is a way to go, but I don't have a desire to haul around hot air 99% of the time. Crossovers or mid-size SUVs are my sweet spot. I have a BS BL on order (no production date) but am also looking at the new Mazda CX-50. Thank you for your responses in advance.
I'm 67 and my '22 BS OB was an impulse buy. It was ordered by a staff members girlfriend, the relationship went south and the jilted one stiffed on the purchase. Really enjoying "my" BS. Also have an F350 DRW, Indian Scout and Moto Guzzi for non Bronco travels!

I was eyeing the 2022 Passport (Trailsport version) before it was released and was super disappointed in the mpg when it finally did. I couldn’t justify the price tag for such horrible mpg. Shocking from Honda.

Definitely not great. It is after all, a 4200lb vehicle with a sohc v6. It does have plenty of power and has a smooth, quiet ride (we have the touring trim). It looks like the next CR-V will be a little bigger and I am trying to convince her that it may be a better choice when the lease is up in late 2023. We had a cr-v before the Passport. She looked up the trailsport because the touring trim has been eliminated and she expressed that she didn't like the trailsport stiching on the seats. I like that it has the smaller wheels with taller sidewalls to help save them from her curb rash habits. I told her that if she wants another passport we will have to go down to the ex-l or get a trailsport since they rarely have good lease rates on the elite trims.

38 year old male here. Badlands on the way, I've definitely seen more female Sport drivers, but I don't care. I love the look of the vehicle, and I've always been someone who gravitated towards vehicles that women preferred. I had a Scion TC and an Audi A3 before this. I don't feel emasculated by it, it's just a preference in the end.

Ha, ha — I’m a youngster . . . turn 73 in April. Our BS/BL is our daily driver, and I’m the only driver.
Wife is 4’11”, I’m 5’8” and have some medical issues, so the BS fits our needs (we can get in & out easily, and have room for stuff on trips). It is plenty rugged and useful for all the “off roading” we’ll be doing as well as “grocery getter”.
