Any Comparisons with upcoming Mazda CX-50?

So... the Mazda CX-50 will be introduced in 2022 soon (as a 2023 model)...
Has anyone done a comparison between the BS and the CX-50, which seems like a more rugged Mazda, a bit bigger than CX-5, 2.5 SkyActiv turbo (250HP/321 lb-ft), and quite a bit more luxurious than the BS, but less off-road-ish than the BS Badlands...

I was going to order one, but found out it was a semi-Toyota. That was enough to say "No".

All I see is another cookie cutter look like everything else small crossover. Based on what I see here it’s nothing any Bronco Sport owner would be interested in. But I could be wrong.

Yeah it is too early to say a lot...
I do think it is quite a bit more "square/boxy" than the rest of the small SUV crop.

If you pulled off the front emblem I’da thought it a Subaru or Toyota.

They're using a Toyota plant to build it, right? I think everything design/mechanical is all Mazda as far as the vehicle goes, at least that's what I thought.....

Yeah That's what I am wondering about... If Mazda wants this to be more "off road-ish" than the CX5 and CX-30 as they advertise, is the AWD system going to any better/different? You'd expect it to be, but ...No clear info on this, but I didn't expect that info to be available this soon, either.... guess we will see.

EDIT: This is all i could find from the MT article: Perhaps it IS more advanced than the CX-5 system... (?)

From the front and with that color, one could easily mistake it for a RAV4 Adventure trim.

Don't really see the point of the CX-50 with everything else on the market but I like the "we have one off-road setting" approach as an alternative to a bunch of GOAT modes. Mazda's simplified approach makes sense for an automatic (mostly) city driver that doesn't have 4WD lock.

Yeah, not sure but I wouldn’t trust it. I was a few feet away from barrel rolling Into the woods because it couldn’t handle light snow and a minimal hill.

we had a 2016.5 mazda cx5. waaaay more refined, almost sports-car ish. it was a great suv but id never put it thru stuff we put the bronco thru. bronco fells more trucky.

The 2.5 turbo in that thing, I like that. Most of the small SUVs out there super wimpy engines.
