Nice comparison! But I think B/S looks very similar to the 2nd Gen Escapes, too.

It lights weird areas like the middle console and the cup holder surrounds. totally gimmicky. and most color choices are ghastly. (at least in my 2010 Escape - i am sure it's pretty similar). It's a far cry from ambient lighting that's in a Volvo or a BMW, which actually is very tastefully done...
