Same problem in south Texas, I’ve never had any damage. A few years ago on new year’s eve a neighbor 500’ away fired off a few rounds and I heard one pass by me, idiots.

The obvious safety implications aside, as expensive and hard to get as ammunition is these days, I'm baffled why someone would randomly fire in the air.

I used to be baffled by the stupidity of some people. But these days……

Insane that people still doing this in cities.
Thinking about the car for a day I think I'm just going to leave it. Dent is too small to spend $500 + another dent in the insurance. I'll put a little magnet decal and forget about it. The only think that sucks is the value of the car going down in case I decide to sell it in the future.

Specially in a city with neighbors around. If you live in a farm by yourself do whatever you want, just don't put in danger another person for no reason.

Was surprised when your pic showed a dense neighborhood. Here in the boonies the neighbors have a backstop and never shoot in the air or towards structures. Idiots everywhere though.

OMG, although this is pretty rare, imagine if those two shots had hit a person rather than your cars.

I can't believe people still do things like this, and as a proud gun owner I find this sort of thing very disturbing.

Sorry to hear that you've been hit twice, but it seems you are a good "sport" about it. :)

Any use calling the cops? If you keep getting hit in the same spot, it's probably coming from the same place/person.

I did it. First time they came and took the bullet. This time I've called but told them there's no need to come. Asked they police officer if this is happening with more people in the city and she said "never heard about this happening to anybody before" Didn't even believe me at the beginning.
Thinking about starting playing lottery, odds are with me.

Something very strange about this. Where I live, there ar plenty of people with firearms and I’ve never heard of anyone having their vehicle shot.

Maybe it’s that people who grew up with firearms learn and understand about how to handle them, and realize any shot in the air has to land somewhere with a terminal velocity that can do lethal damage.

Unlike certain actors, I learned at an early age to never point a firearm at something unless you intended to kill it, to always assume it was loaded, to never trust someone else to verify it is unloaded, and so on.

Very sorry about your Bronco Sport, something like this is unacceptable.
