It's not the bright cyber orange accents with the premium package. It's slightly metallic bronze color for the accents. Looks good with the brown/black leather. I would definitely recommend seeing one in person if you can. There are plenty of pics online I'll see if I can link one here or I'll take a picture of it in the '21 Badlands tomorrow.
Thanks, that would be great if you have time.

I just looked at the build tool again and I think I see what you're saying. There is a difference, but in those photos it seems pretty minor.

I'll see if I can find some better ones.

This thread has some interior picture. Not the greatest for showing the bronze accents, but you can get an idea in the second of the interior pictures. The bronze trim below the phone charger cubby hole - just under the touch screen and air vents. The camera here kinda makes the door accents look the same as the brown leather seats. And while it coordinates well with them, the trim is not actually the same it has a satin/metallic look to it. I'll snag a picture tomorrow. The interior trim is all the same on the '22s as on the '21s.

Beautiful photos, thank you!

Big difference between these images and the ones in Ford's 'Build your own' tool. They are selling themselves short.

Hmm...I really wish we could get Area 51. This looks great too, maybe better, but we don't need most of the stuff included in the Premium Package -- so we'd be paying $2,100 just to change the interior.

A few questions:

* Which surfaces on the seats are leather?

* What is used on the surfaces that are not leather?

* Can you tell if it's *real* (top grain) leather? The reason I ask is that these days everything from furniture to shoes to handbags is often made from "bonded leather" -- or at least parts are. For example, the (expensive) office chair I'm sitting in has leather on most 'seating surfaces' but there are small strips of bonded leather that are cracking and pealing (the real leather portion looks fine).

"Imitation leather" can be pretty good -- better than bonded leather. For example, the "ultra leather" in our small RV has held up well. I wouldn't mind if Ford used a product like that for some pieces.

Thanks again for the photos!

The reason for the production delays is that there was a defective batch of chips at the Hermosillo Plant that affected both the Maverick's and Bronco Sports. The original affected production dates ranged from the end of November to last week. Ford had new chips expedited in this week to resume production but that meant that there are now 2 to 3 weeks of vehicles sitting (AGAIN) waiting to have chips installed while they continue to build more vehicles. Due to the chip shortage, builds were shifted for multiple weeks.

There is a thread on this in the Maverick Truck Club forums -

https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/maverick-chip-shortage.6385/
I saw where their visibility report he posted in the Maverick forum showed a chip hold in the last ETA Disposition box. My dealer pulled my visibility report this morning and It shows at the factory and produced with 12/29 ETA and no chip hold notation on the report. All my ECUs havbe been up and checked since the 10th And a massive list of them on Ford site with my VIN.

The date on my window sticker changed to today for the first time as it had been sticking at 12/13 so this may mean it is finally moving forward. My dealer said it should ship on the 29th. I am hoping that means mine is done and built notice will come with finishing QC to get ready and go

So I had an original build date of 12/6, then 12/13, and now this week, but no updates so far. Curious if it'll change.

I ordered a Badlands this past Friday and was told the lead time was about 6 months. Does that sound right?
I placed an original order on 9/29 and it's scheduled for this week. I placed another order for a different color on 10/29 and was going to take that one depending on the timing. Still don't have a production date nearly two months later, so taking the first one whenever it comes in.

I have slowly been adding new stuff to my BS/BL since I got it a week ago. The first thing I did was replace all of the halogen bulbs in the rear with led's - what a big difference that makes, especially with the reverse lights. Also changed the OEM lugnuts with one piece aftermarket ones and a set of McGard locking lugnuts, added hood gas struts, and an Auto Start/Stop over ride device. Still have to get around to getting it back to the dealer for installation of the Bushwaker fender flares. So far I am very happy with it although it took so long for me to finally get it - in the end it was worth the wait since I can't get the Rapid Red anymore.

Good luck and enjoy when your new ride finally gets delivered. :like:
