I'm also using the A-tach mount bracket with a ProClip phone cradle reused from my last vehicle.
I’ve used pro clip mounts and cradles in my last 4 cars. Love their products. I just wasn’t a fan of the mounting solution for the Sport. I don’t like that the phone covers the Ac/heat controls.

Exactly like you, ProClip in last 3 trucks and wife's '12 Fusion that we just traded in for the Bronco, but I bought it anyway... and she's pissed! I mounted it as far to the right as i could, to uncover as much of the controls as I could, but she's still not a happy camper! Thank God, the Temperature shows up on the Sync Screen when you turn the knob, or I'd be removing it! It doesn't bother me at all... I just work around it, because the phone is important to me and NOT to her!

Same. I don't like any of my controls being blocked.

I also like the phone sitting up next to the screen. That way the map is on the screen and the next turn is on the phone when I am navigating. Also, easier in the rare event I do have to do something on the phone itself.

There's already a phone holder--the net pouch on the right side of the console. I plug the phone in, activate Android Auto, and put the phone in pouch. With Android Auto I don't need to interact with my phone while driving.

Having Android Auto running on SYNC 3 saved me from a potential bad interaction with law enforcement. Cop pulled me over ostensibly because he saw a phone in my hand--although I can't prove it I'm pretty sure he pulled me over because I was a male driving a tricked out looking Mustang. I showed him that Android Auto was running on the screen, and that my phone was safely tucked away in the console. I explained that with Android Auto I can operate all the functions of the phone without ever picking it up.

"Oh. It looked like you had a phone in your hand. Drive carefully."

Yeah, right...

Plug in Apple Car and zero need to see it. My garage door is run from Apple Car so having that pop up on screen as I get home is nice. Not a car mod but I did add a HomeKit opener onto my existing garage door.

We had a Honda HR-V with a ProClip mount that was on the right side of the console with phone facing the driver. It was perfect and nothing was blocked. I have written to ProcClip several times to see if they will make one like this for the BS and I keep getting the same answer, "I will let our engineering department know". They are missing a great opportunity.

Genuinely curious - not trying to ruffle feathers - why do folks use a phone mount when there's a screen? Why not just plug in for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto?
