Agree, It's the hardest part of any vehicle to clean, Summer mud and dirt, winter slush and snow.

I had an F150 where we sprayed bed liner in the wells. That was the best of all worlds for me. Took the abuse and cleaned up easily. The cloth is for cost and a little sound deadening.
Going to have to get some of that. Thanks for the tip!

The Best Part of cleaning the wheel wells was getting the clay into them in the first place. The zero maintenance road I was not off roading on the other day (video posted elsewhere here) changed character quite nicely after a day or so of rain.
The not off roading we did today needed slippery mode and low gear locked in and speeds below 10kmph as the car was literally floating on a layer of liquid clay. The Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail tyres were totally overcome and packed - they are not mud tyres. Had we stopped, we wouldn't have started up again. That said, giving it a fair bit of stick got the car through the slop and out the other side.
After I install a badlands suspension, skid plate it up, and stick in some tall and skinny tyres, it should do better :)

I put those plastic wheel well liners in rear wheel wells of my '16 F150 its a Ford accessory part. I bet if Ford offered those for the sports they would sell....

OK, I have to admit this is a new one to me.

Carpeting in the wheel wells is not a good plan. I understand the noise reduction goal, but cleaning has got to be a real pain.

I don't mind the carpet stuff. It takes a brush or pressure to spray it out, but what annoys me more is how it fits to the metal. This stuff is used because it's cheap and flexible, right? Why does it seal so poorly? Why not give us a big overlap that goes behind the panel or tucks in good? The gunk goes right through the edges and gets up into my fender and engine bay. I bought some Flextape but I haven't figured out a great way to apply it yet.

they are terrible in winter. the snow and slush just clings to it, and takes a while to melt out. im guessing they may be toast after 1 or 2 winters, thats just my guess. plastic liners with armor all tire foam was the best, i miss that issht.
