An potentially interesting and/or meaningless tidbit.

When I called Ford CS, the rep I talked with rambled a bit about Ford wasting time and effort on electrics. Essentially saying that Bronco could have been pushed out earlier if Ford had not decided to push the Mach-E as well as the hybrid and all electric F150 to market.

Now I clearly took this to be this persons speculation and not an official Ford position. However it would seem that at least some (or maybe just this one) Ford employees are thinking the way some of their customers are thinking.
Yeah it's not uncommon for at least one employee to think outside the corporate box. I tend to be that guy. I do as I am asked but I don't let that guide my decisions or my opinions. I'd stand down as needed but that employee stating their view

That badlands package may just push you back. It will be worth the wait if you can.

Are electronics covered in the bumper to bumper warranty? I bought that which expanded my warranty to 5 years $60,000 miles for $995 - they said it was a special for custom orders only? I dk if that’s Ford or dealer specific
The ESP plan I got is called Premium Care it does cover the electronics . Some of the other packages limit what is covered, the premium care covers everything except wear items and accident damage, just like bumper to bumper. I've never heard anything about packages for special order only. You also have a year or 12,000 miles to decide if you want to purchase the plan but dealers try to force you purchase the ESP right away, and you don't have to buy it from the selling dealer. I shopped around and bought mine from a dealer out of state for less money. The Real Ford ESP plans are good at ANY Ford dealer. I plan to do the same thing when I take delivery on the Bronco Sport.

I'm always trying to the find the silver lining. In this case, we had unexpected expenses that forced me to pull a big chunk of what I had put away for a down payment. A little delay gives me some time to build it back up. Would I be happier to have it now with a me putting down less? Absolutely.

But... my personal line for backing out is coming close. Pretty soon it will make as much or more sense to order a 2022. At that point I'll have to decide whether to do that, wait for Bronco in a few years or blow off buying new Fords and just getting a BS and a Bronco on the used market years from now.

You're 100% right, better communication would make a big difference. Right now I go between lines of reasoning, Ford is nearly incompetent in passing information to their customers or is deliberately hiding information to prevent us from moving to other automakers.
Kind of in the same place. We ended up dropping money on some unplanned home expenses which ate into down payment slush fund. While disappointed with not having the BS, no car payment for a while is helpful.

The level of Ford communication is pretty weak. Getting an email saying it is built only to hear that I am still waiting on a chip is very weak tea.

Also running towards a line where 1 vehicle is no longer going to cut it. Going to try to juggle 2 people needing to be in the office soon.

Oh well, the date is back to 6/25 again, it has changed 4 times since 8:00 this morning. Put a part in, take a part out and repeat. At least I have memorized my VIN number now.
EDIT: Make that 5 times, back to 6/22 again.

Called Ford again today as it's been a week since we went to "In Production" with still no dates at all on the tracker. On their end it still shows with no ETA or any dates of any kind. She did say they'd be sending out emails to update people, but I think she might have been referring to the automated emails, which we have not received for about a month now.

So I had received the dreaded 10/31 estimated delivery date which has since changed to N/A which cannot be good. My dealer got me a number to call at Ford and they told me they basically have no further information as some factories are closed and others will be closing 7/5 without an estimated reopening date. I was told that basically until the factories reopen, we essentially have no updates. No way to tell what is holding up my specific build either.

Your dealer should have status on Visibility Report so not sure why they passing the buck to Ford?

I’ve unfortunately got the N/A delivery date as well. Really disappointed, dealer says they have no clue on any updates and they pretty much don’t get any. I’m hopeful it’ll still be delivered very late August, if not I am not sure what I’ll do

I drove by my local dealer earlier (and saw my first big Bronco!) and they had a Sport practically identical to the one I have on order but in Catcus gray. BB with 360+ and BB package but no moonroof. It was a green window sticker so I got the VIN and order number, looked it up, and its a bit odd: ordered on 3/16, built 5/27, completed 6/2, and delivered 6/23. No moonroof. Mine was ordered on 3/31 and has been "in production" since 6/17 and according to my window sticker is slated to have a moonroof. I was told pre-April 15 BB package orders would be built with the moonroof, but after 4/15 wouldn't. It just random which ones will and won't? Since mine's still in production will it change?

Look on the bright side. Those who waited in line and ordered full broncos are dealing with a nightmare. Those (I'd guess predominantly) who ordered four door with a hard top may not see their bronco until MY2023...TWENTY....THREE.... So...waiting until October 21 sounds like a deal. Matters made worse, they have broncos stacking up, and dealers may start seeing soft tops as sale stock (maybe switch to a full bronco soft top??) Before many get their build...hot as hornets on the G6 and I don't blame them this covid crap is doing serious damage to retail...first world problems yes...but man what a mess. Drove 94 to Kalamazoo and back...lots everywhere seem empty no matter the brand. It's sad.
