Toyota sent me a "not really a recall" letter with some BS (not bronco Sport, the other BS) about how many gallons from empty to full and if you get that many it's all good (for them). What happens is that you essentially lose about 3 gallons of capacity. Fortunately it's a hybrid and you'll still get 450 miles around town pretty easy. I routinely get middle 40's around town. It's not so much the issue as the response that ticks me off.

I found a little trick, fill it on the slowest setting and after the nozzle clicks off wait 30 seconds or more if you can and then trickle in gas. Last time at the pump I got 1.6 gallons more in the tank that way.

haha as an engineer formerly of two automotive OEMs which shall go unnamed I am not surprised by their response, though I am surprised their testing didn’t reveal this seemingly widespread problem during development.

Apparently, I spoke too soon. I just checked my email and my BL+BL has been built!!! Estimated delivery date per the email is between 4/23 and 4/29.

Now, I eagerly await my shipping notification...

Today has been my most productive day in the waiting room. I just checked the tracker and according to Ford, my Bronco Sport has been shipped. I have an estimated wait time of 35 days before it arrives at my dealer.

I tried looking up my VIN on the Palsapp website. The number comes up, but there's no info other than "Pending".

I did a random Google search for my VIN and was shocked to see it come up on JDPower.com as a BS Badlands for sale in the town where my dealer is located. Even though the pics are stamped with "In Transit, Not in Stock", I'm still in my feelings a lil bit. Is this normal? Am I wrong for not wanting anyone to be drooling over my future vehicle trying to call my dealer and attempt to snag it?

Mine is a dealer ordered and I just put a deposit down. Mine is not on the website being advertised.

Productive day for me as well! My production date was originally 4/12 but was moved to 3/29 a few weeks ago. My window sticker dropped last night along with a notification from Ford that my vehicle is already in production! I'm hoping it will ship by early next week. Can't wait!

It ain't just you. I'm still tripping out because the one time I decide to order a car from scratch and just happen to live in Michigan, Ford decides to build the Sport in Mexico.

Order still didn't pull for production. Sigh. Dealer tells me it has the highest code in production queue (the lower the number the better he says; mine is 1), no red flagged/backordered components he can see on it, and yet next step's not taking place. It's basically at the top of the queue and ready to go, if I'm to believe it. He's puzzled and will be making more inquiries.
