Hey guys, wanted to finally make a post on my badlands build. It will be a bronco sport badlands RS.

I want to start off by saying that circuitwerks ford maverick catless downpipe Is 100% bolt on for our bronco(i mean duhh its the same engine) as well as the boomba lower stiffer motor mount. Few more upgrades down the line but for now sharing some clips of the car with you all.

Current exhaust set up is simply the catless downpipe, resonator delete, and kept the stock rear exhaust. Sounds great loud when you lay into it but quiet when cruising with no drone.

Ford Bronco Sport First ever catless downpipe 2.0L Bronco Sport Badlands [ADMIN WARNING: NO DISRESPECTFUL / INSULTING BEHAVIOR] 59817-d0497058ded481b45ac24cd36e8fcec3

From the Book of Shelby 4:27: "Inline motors shall be kept as quiet as possible, so as to not annoy the populace nor embarrass the owners, unless thou runs a diesel. To do otherwise is an affront."

I’ll stick with mine. It’s loud but it doesn’t sound hollow. And I like loud vehicles, but yours just sounds… off.

The difference your hearing is because there is no catalytic converter, the turbo is going to be much louder due to zero restrictions.
More flow, more power, more loud

Ya… I’m well aware of what the difference is. 🤨

I have a catless, mufflerless 05 SRT4. Yours just sounds hollow.

This is actual boomer speak.
Get with the times grandpa, 4 bangers are loud and cool. Shelby didnt have 4 cylinders making over 500hp in his generation.

The 2.0 sounds like this. Check any focus st video, obviously exhaust systems make a difference but i went for unique approach ive done before with my old focus st and rs. Keeps that annoying 4 banger drone away

Loud 4-bangers weren’t cool 50 years ago, and they’re not cool now. Look, I’m sorry your generation didn’t grow up with proper motors that you could work on yourself, but it doesn’t change reality.

Oh, and a Shelby 427 produces 500-750hp.

Lol, as a ford master tech i promise you all these motors can be worked on.
End of the day, all i hear is alot of yapp from someone with the same 4 banger and zero shelby šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Gee I kind thought my BL was loud already. So is there anything else going on or just the exhaust so far?

I’m not the one trying to pretend mine is something it’s not, nor was intended to be. I also haven’t relied on an appeal to authority fallacy, as I’m just stating my opinion and provided a simple fact.

Sure, they can be worked on, but are still essentially disposable at the end of the day, with no real hope of survival beyond 15-20 years, while you can still endlessly rebuild big and small V-blocks from 70 years ago.
