So my wife's FE is on the train in PA, one state away from me. I just received an email from Ford stating my FE production date had been moved to January 25th and they gave me a completely different VIN number. Anyone missing a FE with VIN 3FMCR9F91MRA33636 ?

I can't wait to hear their explanation for this

That Firefox tracking url someone gave recently shows the owner name for specific VIN. Might be worth looking up both to confirm whose is whose.

I looked at that and this new VIN doesn't pull up in that system

You don't suppose that somehow the vehicle was wrecked? They were supposed to have bad weather.
I have no idea, but I don't think the order dates matched in the order tracker with the OP's original VIN#. I'm not sure how the OP knew the first vehicle was in PA, but they had a lot of snow yesterday, so your hypothesis is certainly plausible.

This comment has me scratching my head. Lol what?
The original vehicle was on a train in PA, which got a ton of snow yesterday. He's asking if it's possible a train with the car on it derailed or something.

I know exactly what happened. They accidentally installed assist+ on that one so they have to send it back and start over because it wasn’t supposed to have that.
Or accidentally/correctly installed the cargo management system instead of ghosting that off of the order.

My dealer ordered two Badlands under my name - one or me and one for dealership. Not sure that's what happened to you and also not sure Ford Corporate likes them doing it. When I got two Ford emails with the two VINs dealer told me what he had done. Said first one was mine and second was for dealership. Weird, but that's how some dealerships are working the system. Happens when you only have to put $100 down and it's refundable at that.

Not sure this could be done with the FE.

So the plot thickens. I used the Fordtracker.tech website and pulled up both FE's. Both are in my name, only difference I could find is that my original VIN has CMS and the new VIN does not. I guess @RonSwanson was partially correct just in the reverse order! @essentialemployee it's unfortunate but neither unit has assist+. LOL

How did you know the first one was on a train in PA? I've been trying to get an updated ETA on my vehicle (shipped 12/11) for almost a week and my dealer says their Ford rep won't get back to them.
