Yeah I need to get that part done I hate the auto stop start. And eco mode is nice. But when I want to turn it up a bit. That sport mode , ooo boy it's fast. Much faster then what my 2016 focus st was. We've been using the ECO mode & it still gets up & runs when the turbo kicks in. We also shut off the auto stop switch.
It's just something i.do.as well..I am so use to touch screens. I am really fast at it. Even while drivingI rest my thumb or another finger on the little ledge below the screen to brace. When you have to manipulate controls in a moving platform (cars/ships/planes), this is a common technique.
Ford should’ve designed this more deliberately. I’m going to see if I can design something to fit over the existing ledge to offer a better platform.

Yes, that's what I do too. Also, it would be nice to know what the fan speed is without calling up the slider. Same with the air vent options. And, what's up with the AC turning on when ever I pick the "in your face" option? This happens even when it's not on "auto" mode. It's just something i.do.as well..I am so use to touch screens. I figured out on my 22' outerbanks that I had before trading it in. That the auto stop start does help with gas mileage. With my new one I don't even notice the feature being onYeah I need to get that part done I hate the auto stop start. And eco mode is nice. But when I want to turn it up a bit. Sometimes it does not even turn on, for me..that would be the only thing I hate about the BS, but I believe it's something everyone hates in the vehiclesI figured out on my 22' outerbanks that I had before trading it in. Like I said I don't even notice, Maybe I'm the only one that doesn't mind it. Who knows to each their own. Just sayingSometimes it does not even turn on, for me..that would be the only thing I hate about the BS, but I believe it's something everyone hates in the vehicles
The few times I forgot to turn it off I really haven't noticed it. I just want to cut down the cycles the starter has to make.I figured out on my 22' outerbanks that I had before trading it in. Precisely my thoughts when I got my first one, Since then I came to realize they've designed staters to take the abuse. I use it all the time now.The few times I forgot to turn it off I really haven't noticed it. I just want to cut down the cycles the starter has to make.
Since the starter costs over $800 installed & most likely out of warranty when it does go, I'll keep pushing the button. I ordered the F150 with auto stop delete & would have order the BS with the delete. My dealer found what I wanted within 150 miles so I bought it.Precisely my thoughts when I got my first one, Since then I came to realize they've designed staters to take the abuse. I was not aware that you can get your vehicle w/o stop start. I thought they just came standard.Since the starter costs over $800 installed & most likely out of warranty when it does go, I'll keep pushing the button. I ordered the F150 in 2022. The delete wasn't on the build your F150 site but I work for a Ford dealer & my salesman always let me go through the ordering site to pick & choose what I wanted. 2025's may not have the delete option. The BS was kind of a spur of the moment with the employee pricing event.I was not aware that you can get your vehicle w/o stop start. I thought they just came standard.
Another option is the start stop eliminator from 4Dtech. They have an install video and it is super easy compared to previous models, however only if yours has the 7mm bolt and not the newer security bolts that Ford switched to.I want to get FORScan so I can turn off auto stop start.
Very distracting! That’s why I set the adaptive CC with lane centering on whenever I get in the car. It takes too long to look away from the road, make an adjustment on the screen, and shift my eyes back to the road. It’s nearly as bad as texting while driving. I try to get everything adjusted before I take off. I’ve seen road hazards appear in a split second. I know the cars now have emergency braking and other safety features, but they’re not foolproof.Just crossed over 1,000 miles. So far, no problems. We are getting 31.4 mpg. My main complaint is the HVAC controls. It's hard to use the "touch screen" while driving!
The 2021 F-150 I had the Auto Start/Stop was factory Deleted!!I was not aware that you can get your vehicle w/o stop start. I thought they just came standard.
