Hi, I usually have my music cranked, so maybe I just didn’t notice this before, but is this noise normal?

I had something similar, a very high pitched noise coming from the instrument display. Solved it by turning down the instrument display illumination one notch using the controls near the headlight switch. Keeping the digital display at max illumination was causing the whine.

I could not hear the noise in your video. Perhaps my hearing is impaired, so I would not know if my Bronco Sport is doing the same!

The noise in your vehicle sounds abnormal

A high-pitched electronic whine in a vehicle is typically caused by electromagnetic interference (EMI) or issues in the electrical or audio system but a similar sound can be a from a mechanical issue such as a worn serpentine belt

Provide more info such as: when does the whine happen (engine on/off, moving/stopped, accelerating the engine, etc.)

Since you already turned down the audio that should eliminate the radio as a source of the noise but to be sure press and hold the button to shut off the radio (and the 8” screen) completely

As suggested, turn down the brightness in the instrument cluster and then turn off other electronics you may have in the vehicle (turn each off one by one)… to see if you can find which one is causing the noise. Examples include: Dash cams, USB chargers, Bluetooth modules, etc.

That’s common with a power cycle

Typically it will return but as you said you might not have noticed it with the audio on fairly loud

I started hearing the same high-pitched noise coming from my instrument panel about a month ago and I took my less than one month old car to the dealership to get it checked. They took my car for about three days and then came back answering me that this issue is happening worldwide and that FORD has yet to come up with an answer or solution to it. They even mentioned this might be within a normal threshold and might not be recognized as an issue. That scared me, but I see this is an issue worldwide so I really hope they do take responsibility and fix this

Please keep me updated about your issue and so will I
