Recently bought new 2025 Outerbanks 1.5 Ecoboost. I love the car in general, but after bringing it to home, I noticed two unpleasing noises coming from it.

1) High pitched electrical noise in background
As soon as I start the car, and pull it out from garage, there is an electrical noise coming from dash screen (not the center console). I found out that when I adjust the brightness of dash, it gets noisier or quieter.

2) High pitched whistling noise when driving
When I drove in interstates and went over 85+mph, I could hear whistling noise. And I can definitely tell it's not from accelerating because the noise was there even when I was not accelerating but at a high speed. I suspect it is related to poor sound insulation.

I brought the car to the dealership, and not surprisingly, mechanics said
  • Noise #1 is just the model's characteristic sound (!) as they could hear it from other BS
  • Noise #2 could be a sound from its Turbo engine
These sounds are really annoying. Are these sounds normal? I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you

Those don’t sound normal. You will want to go back to the dealership and have the service adviser and or the Tech ride along with you so they can hear the same sound you point out to them while they are in the car.

You can also test drive another 2025 Bronco Sport and verify those sounds are not present in another vehicle.

Just curious - for sound #2 when driving interstates and over 85+mph - do you have a moonroof and can tell if the sound relates to the moonroof?

Thank you! Yes, I will do so. And to your question, no, it doesn't have a moonroof.

Wow that is super annoying! On the first video is the last sound the parking brake engaging? Sounds like an air compressor. Is it that loud in the cabin as well? Or did you amplify the audio a bit?

Right? I don't know how they can say it's the model's characteristic sound.
That's from the seat automatically moving as I turned off the car.
