i do think its pretty funny. on my old pool truck i re routed the hose to behind the grill so i could spray people.

another good prank is to tape the hose under the steering column of your buddies work truck, then later throw some coffee on the windsheild while hes sitting in it to get him to clean the windsheild.

best one ive seen if fill the resevoir with bourbon (after clearing tank, pump, and lines) and then you got an on demand booze spout

So am I to believe that all that are having problems are using washers until they completely empty. then complaining it will not hold a full gallon to refill. I would think most people top it off often and running it dry not that good of a practice. Some times a lot of these problems on these forums are a bit comical does anybody agree or is it just me.

just you. haha, no seriously, the amount of fluid I use in the winter with my 2 hour commute to work is stupid. it will show a warning and next thing its out. for 90% of the winter I am driving on a highway that is slush/salt/sand covered you have to clean the windows every 30 seconds or you can't see

what actually made me wonder why is the fact that when you fill it on level ground there is a huge amount at the back that is empty but can't be used because of the angle the tank is on and I was wondering if it was just mine or if everyone's is like that.

sorry we use the imperial gal not the US gal , but when we buy jugs of stuff they are 4L jugs but old guys like me still call them gal jugs. US gal are just to darn small

Personally I think its time for the US to ditch the random system of measurements and fully switch to the metric system, much more precise and easier to use.

When we buy jugs of stuff in gallon form it usually comes in a 3.78 L jug not 4 l. Almost all 1 gallon containers in Canada are 3.78 l. Same way with a 5 gallon pail is not 20 l, they are 18.9 L

N FYI no we do not use the imperial gallon in canada. We use a US gallon. We haven't used the imperial gallon since before the metric system was implemented. Since then we use the US gallon.

According to everything I can find, a "gallon" is a unit of volume in either British Imperial units (roughly 4.5L) or US customary units (roughly 3.8L). I can find no reference online to "Canadian" gallons. I believe Canada used US units until it enacted the Weights and Measures Act, which switched the country from US gallons to imperial gallons. Than means a "Canadian" gallon is 4.5L, not 4L. If I'm wrong please share a link with the correct information.

Unless, of course, you're just ribbing me. If that's the case then don't worry, everyone in Canada will soon be using US gallons too.

First of all there's no chance in hell that we would be using the US gallon due to the fact that you think we're going to become a 51st state. You need to educate yourself on that. But as for reality, yes we do use the US gallon here already. Stir crazy is misinformed. You literally walk into any store and pick up a 1 gallon jug it will say 3.78 l. All my washer fluid and oil jugs say this.

we did that on my old 1964 f100, had the foot pump for the windshield wiper fluid, and a bag for the fluid. just filled it with good old whisky and had the tube unde

start looking bigger, we use the 205L barrel for all industrial stuff, the only 3.78L stuff we get is imported from he US, or made for the US market also. we do have lots of stuff in 4L containers, maybe not in Ontario as you guys are more closely tied to the US than we are out west. I was in Ontario last fall for a holiday, nice place but I couldn't believe how Americanized you guys are compared to the west. probably due to the auto sector influence, but it was very noticeable, most paint and lubes 20L pail out here so 5.3US gal. there is no more gal on engine oil, they are all sold as 5L jugs or 1L windshield washer fluid is the only thing that seams to be the US gal size so yes I was mistaken on that. I buy the 5 gal buckets of concentrate and I mix it to 4L instead of the 3.78L though which is maybe why I got the wrong size on that one. fuel milage we use the imperial gal for calculations because the us mpg is just bad and L/100km just doesn't make sense haha.

Well first of all the only Americanized part of Ontario is down in the Toronto area nowhere else. And FYI I'm originally from the east coast and living in Ontario now and I visit Alberta frequently where my sister lives. And I can tell you 100% that you guys definitely have 3.78 l jugs of oil and washer fluid in Alberta which last time I checked was a western province. And yes some oil does come in 5 L jugs would you typically only find at Walmart and American store. And yes we use 205 l drums which is the equivalent of a 55 gallon drum. Which is an American gallon not imperial. Imperial drums were 45 gallons. So far I would have to say that you're definitely getting your weights and measures mixed up.
As for calculating fuel mileage no we do not use imperial gallons to figure that out. We use a US gallon. The same way our fuel mileage is calculated to liters per 100, that transfers over to a US gallon not an imperial gallon. Again you're getting your way to measures mixed up, Might want to do a little research next time
