Any way to NOT have to press OK, every time I get in my Bronco?

Ok, this may be another silly question. You guys did great on my first one and solved it in a matter of minutes.

So, every time you open the drivers door to get in, there is a warning on the center of the instrument console. It lets you know that the door wa sopened. Then, it turns green with a check box and it tells you to press OK on the steering wheel. So, I am pressing the OK button every time before I can see whatever screen i normally have for the center screen. Is there a way to get rid of that? It is kind of annoying. Thanks!

No way to get rid of that permanently as far as I know but you don’t need to press Ok.. just wait a few seconds and these types of warnings typically go away on their own

Weird. I never get that. Lots of lights come on when I open the door and start the car, but none of them stay on and they go off by themselves.

I have a 2024 and when I took delivery last October none of that was mentioned as the car's features were explained to me.

I know on the 25s, it shows if everyone has their seat belts buckled. I usually just push ok, I haven't waited to see if it goes away after a certain amount of time.

I have a '25, and the seat belt alert does go away in a few seconds if you don't press "ok."

The 2025’s have a revised instrument cluster as well as new info screen so it could well be something new. They can rarely resist the urge to add more stuff and make things more complicated rather than leaving it dead simple and easy to understand.

In feedback regarding new cars the #1 complaint customers have is in regards to the infotainment screens and digital instrumentation in their complexity and unwieldiness. And while these things are (supposedly) improved it often seems like the manufacturers are not really listening to customer feedback. This is also at odds with written and online reviews where rarely anyone has the courage to really criticize these things.

But a lot of us are no longer the target demographic for new vehicles—we’ve aged out. The real push is for a younger demographic more familiar with computerized devices and digital interfaces—they think this stuff is cool. It doesn’t seem to occur to them all this stuff is an unnecessary level of distraction from you’re primary focus: driving and being aware of what is around you.

I'm new to the forum, new to the Bronco Sport, and mine's a '21, so I don't know if any of this applies, but I noticed in my instrument panel that there were options on what pages to show, and one of them was for seatbelt status. It wasn't chosen, and I haven't tried it, but I am not seeing any seatbelt messages, so I wonder if there's a way to turn off that page on the cluster, and if that would turn off the message.

I'm not sure how configurable the instrument cluster is. I played with it some to familiarize myself with it to some extent, but then I set it one way and left it. I wouldn't mind the mileage being permanently displayed, but I don't know if I can do that without changing something else because I prefer the uncluttered and easy to read setup. The trip odometer is another thing I wouldn't mind having displayed, but I'm not sure if I can add that either without changing the overall look.

Man, it was so easy on my CrownVic--just push the trip odometer and reset to zero. You didn't need a preflight manual.

Off-topic, but it's the same with contemporary televisions. Long gone are the days when you connected it to an antenna or cable, turned it on and you're ready to go. Nope, today you have to set it up like setting up a phone or computer and the stupid thing goes through settings when you turn it on instead of just coming on at the last channel you were at. Oh, yeah, this stuff is sooo much better.

The real reason they're going digital is simply because it's easier and cheaper for them to plaster screens already loaded with software onto a shelf then designing a well thought out and appealing dashboard. Yet the Bronco Sport isn't as bad as a lot of other vehicles on the market. Hell, just look at what they did to the interior of the 2024 Mustang--it's atrocious.

A minute or two seems like a very long time .. mine I think is a few seconds but we might be talking about the Ok for different warning screens

would you mind taking a pic and posting that (for the warning on the center of the instrument console)

almost seems like even with all doors closed one of the door or hatch sensors isn’t reading properly but that’s just a guess

For what it's worth, I turned on the seatbelt page on my cluster in my '21 and still didn't get any prompts for seatbelts, so that wasn't helpful.

Put someone not buckled in the passenger seat or in the back seats and you should see the warning
Plus the vehicle will beep beep

I disable a bunch of chimes and notifications through forscan. I don't think ours does what you're saying. Just start up screens. I'll have to check now. I know i would think that would be super annoying and notice if it did though.
