Front drivers side was making a strange sound and felt off, after taking a look at it the upper bracket that attaches the sway bar links is broken. No mods just a 21 Bronco sport big bend. Anyone else have this problem and can you just buy the bracket? If so where have you found them? I’ve searched all day today and can not track them down.

Unfortunately the upper link mounting bracket is part of the strut assembly.
The other connection point is the sway bar itself.
If the link bracket broke off the strut or the sway bar end has broken off, that's a more serious issue. I have not heard of anyone having that problem.

I know you say you have no mods but that broken bracket piece that's attached to the link looks a lot like the Rough Country sway bar link drop bracket, people on the board have had the RC brackets break. The sway bar link also looks like a Rough Country link.

You can see the link attachment points in these photos from Rough Country.

So it appears the drivers side has an extra bracket attached to the strut that basically dropped sway link an inch or so but the other side doesn’t have it. We can’t seem to figure out why the extra bracket was even on there.

Did you buy the vehicle new, if not maybe it did have a lift on it, and was removed, but someone left the added bracket and aftermarket sway bar link in place. Like I mentioned, that bracket and sway bar link look like Rough Country parts.
Obviously it's very hard to diagnosis problems on an internet forum.

I bought it used, I’ve had it for going on 2 years. The sway bar link is longer than Fords OEM part so would it be safe to assume the lift is actually still in place? We are going to get it on a lift and get a better look at it Sunday just trying to brainstorm if that bracket even needs to be replaced if we can get a sway bar link that fits. I found some made for lifted BS on HRG off-road.

You can look at the top of the struts and see if they have spacers installed, if so, it's lifted. If not, then whoever removed the lift forgot to remove the drop bracket and aftermarket sway bar link and reinstall the stock sway bar link on the one side.

Thanks we will be getting it on a lift this weekend to check for the spacers and go from there.
