Hey, good day y'all!

I'm back after 11 months of radio silence (well granted I haven't really talked to anyone here lol) and several thousand miles later here to talk about my findings after tackling some sand dunes on my Bronco Sport.

Currently, Suno (the name of my Bronco) is sitting at about 14,500 miles, everything still bone stock maybe except for the K&N filter (not CAI sadly) and so far it's been a pretty fun ride on the road, but I don't need to tell any of you that right? Last weekend me and my family went out towards Dumont Dunes, a pretty fun and nice sized place that I'm sure some of you are familar with half an hour off of Baker by the interstate 15. So lemme show you how I managed out there:

Needless to say, I was really shocked at the power of the 2.0! Honestly, I mean the 2.0 is by no means a slouch but those Pirellis gave me some doubts but I mean wow. I had to slam my brakes both times going up because I had no idea I climbed it at such a pace or I would have cleared the dune lol.

If you're curious about what mode I was on, I was on Sport mode of all the ones to be on but I really like the punch the Sport mode has and I'm not entirely sure how much sacrifice the suspension makes being on that mode. But right after I engage Sport mode, I hit the 4x4 button and then the Traction Control Off button to help remedy a bit of the notoriety that is AdvanceTrac, especially that it engaging makes the climb almost lethal lol.

I wanna upload the view inside the cab but even with cutting and compressing the video the site ain't quite cooperating but well I think I got the point across on how this rascal did. I do still want to upgrade my tires to the Wildpeaks especially since they' re at a good closeout price currently for that seemingly unnecessary better traction lol. I had a great time ripping through the dunes without a doubt, I see now why Ford uses these for the Rebelle Rally. I wasn't a naysayer to this "soft-roader" but all my doubts have been laid to rest lol. Thanks for the read everyone, I hope a few of you found my ramblings a little interesting!

Well that brings back memories in my sand rail at Dumont & Glamis. That's an impressive climb and no paddle tires needed. ?

god that looks like loads of fun! did you have to air out the tires at all?
Yeah I definitely aired down, really helps soften all the bumps and helps the suspension! Let's see, if I run the Pirellis at about 36 psi hot on asphalt, I aired them down to about 16 psi, that's generally what I feel is the most optimal while out in the sand out there.

Thanks man! I gotta say, there's quite a feeling you get climbing up and seeing the look of surprise on Can-Am and RZR drivers' faces when I was up right next to them hahaha
