Happy Labor Day weekend all! So, I was cruising down the coast in my Bronco Sport when I suddenly started getting flashing red warning lights on my dash saying 'Charging system service soon'.
The warning would disappear after a few minutes and then reappear after another twenty to thirty minutes later. Happened about six or seven times. Luckily I was near a ford dealership on my roadtrip and stopped by.
Unfortunately they couldn't find anything wrong with my Bronco Sport. She is a 21 Big Bend model and had the recall upgrade added as well as a brand new AGM battery added a couple of months ago. I was told I was 'probably safe to continue my trip'. Time will tell if I get stranded come Labor Day or not, because it's a 200 plus mile journey home if so.
Not sure what my options are if my ford dealer can't figure out what's wrong with her. Could sell and upgrade to a newer year?
Thoughts?
