10k dollars later we are having to drop a new transmission never even had breaks not even 3 yrs old we bought new and now they are saying we may have to buy a new rear end as well! Who has this kinda money!
I just spent the same kind of money on my sons 2021 Bronco Sport. Total Transmission Failure. The FORD guy on here contacted me too but came back with, there are currently no programs or recalls for this problem, save your reciepts. BS, if they haven't done anything by now, they are likely not going to in the future. I paid the Transmission Shop $9500.00 and then had a $3000.00 Rental car Bill on top of that so they could get to work and back. Their milage was at 96,000. There is a definate problem if these Transmissions are failing like this!

The more I see posts like this the more I DON'T want my next vehicle to be a Ford . My guts telling to run far away from Fords.
Yes run. I’ve driven Fords my whole life and after this Bronco sport I won’t buy another. I have a faulty vehicle and ford doesn’t give a sh!t. I’ve exhausted all of my options to get my vehicle fixed and Ford won’t do anything.

Yes run because Ford doesn’t care about you or your safety. The 2021 Bronco Sport has an engineering flaw that Ford refuses to acknowledge or fix. When the vehicle loses power and it can’t be restored the car can not be put into neutral because you can’t disengage the electronic parking break. Which can leave you stranded in the middle of a highway for hours waiting on a tow. Ford won’t tell me how to get around this problem and refuses to even look at it without me paying diagnostic fees. I’ve gone to the BBB and NHTSA and spoke to the suv team at ford and no one will do anything. I won’t buy a Ford again. I’ve been told the newer Bronco sports don’t have the manual release cable anymore. So ford knew they screwed up and fixed it but won’t help fix the older ones.

That's TOTALLY inexcusable. I don't blame you at all. Good luck to you going forward. ?

I also have bought new Fords all my life 30 plus years but the wife's 2021 BS BL changed that. Infotainment system problems never fixed, rear brakes squeal never fixed and drive line noises no one could hear. We traded for a 2024 Honda Passport and the build quality is vastly superior.
As I've said before I didn't leave Ford, Ford left me.

I agree they do it to themselves, stand by your product. And Ford refuses to stand by anything. We shouldn’t be paying thousands of dollars out of pocket on new vehicles with less than 75k miles on them! Come on make a product that lasts and when it doesn’t fix it!

You can disengage the electronic parking brake manually. It isnt convenient nor easily accessible. You have to unbolt and remove the parking brake actuator from each caliper then turn some knob/nut/spindle 360°.

I personally could not do that in the middle of a highway with no tools. That’s how they got it in to repair.

Fun fact. Ford requires dealers to participate in "Goodwill" repairs. The split is often, 33% split among the 3 parties. Ford, dealer, customer. Make your case with the selling dealer. Other dealers will have zero interest in paying a portion for another dealers customer. It's a crap policy that stops many dealers from participating.
What's the status on the wifes New Hyundai Santa Fe's Transmission Replacement?

From experience don’t bother with Ford on here they won’t help you. They will act like they can do something but in the end they won’t do a thing.
FWIW i doubt it's actually someone from Ford.

Still backordered. Getting a new 2025 model this week, no cost to us. Upgrade a model year. Software issue fixed
Rattled a lot of cages and had some help from some friends in the industry.
Still some unfortunate people waiting.
Why does it seem like no manufacturers have parts?
Well, they do, they just won't make them available to customers who have already purchased. Sad.

Glad you're getting a New one.And the Parts thing it seems like since the Covid Pandemic it's been that way no one wants to work and when they do they can't put their cell phones down and produce good parts. My brother inspects parts where he works and says all the guys running the machines run scrap and can't stop looking at their cell phones.

I wish I could say I am surprised. Most industries have gone to crap. Damn I'm glad I retired!!

It is but all they do is look up your vin# and check out your open recalls then give your email to somebody else at ford who doesn’t care to actually help you.
