Kind of annoying to hear you had to spend $300 on a tuner when Ford could simply tune the transmission or throttle to eliminate this problem. By far my #1 complaint about the car is the “fluttering”

I think it's just the "truck" nature of these transmissions. The 10R80 in my Mustang and the 10R60 in my buddy's Explorer ST are both very sloppy in the same way that this 8F35 is. Wide open they all feel great...
FWIW i didn't notice the problem you guys are describing before i installed the Pedal Max.

Does running 91 octane change horsepower? I topped off at half a tank from new Ford actually filled it for me.
I don't believe so on the stock tune. I always use premium on turbo vehicles anyway though.

The OM says regular unleaded. I'll keep using 91 I think premium is a waste of money.
I understand, I've just had turbo vehicles in the past run more ragged with lower octane.

would love to here results from anyone who has done the tune on the 1.5. street manners, off road manners, mileage etc.
I've done the cosmetics, redid the speakers, bigger tires and leveling kit etc. now just wanting to maybe do a little to the hp. its my daily so not looking to get crazy but a little more low end would be nice.

ALWAYS use premium on forced induction rigs. And if you go much more than 3k on your oil changes, you're rolling the dice. Oil is...well not cheap these days but one heck of a lot less than replacing an engine...Just IMHO

I'm looking at the 1.5t dragon and the escape motor is the cheapest in my area. I'm wondering if th bronco and fiesta st are all the same and have different tunes? It looks like all the unes out there are all coming up with the same numbers as the fiesta st.
Does anyone know if any of the tunes out there is more of a race car setup that deletes everything except the stuff to make the engine and of coarse turbo to work?
Ive found out the Mazda Miata and rx7 transmission is able to bolt up to the dragon. I need rwd for my 73 Opel gt. Being an old car no canbus and the transmissions are all standard so I won't be worrying about controlling it with the ecu. If I could, I'd love to use a 6 or higher speed transmission but I haven't found one yet.
The car will end up being under 1600lbs and with 250hp/ft-lbs torque, it should be a very fun to drive. The weight distribution will most likely be 50/50 but might end up alittle more on the rear end.
It's basically be driven with gas mileage in mind around town but if a corvette pulls up beside me I'm going to see what my baby corvette can with my best fast and furious "smoke em" impression.
