I believe all Bronco Sports have heated mirrors, but the wire is only powered when the rear defroster is on. You might try tracing the route the power lead for the mirror heater to add your own power lead.

get an add a fuse circuit rated for whatever draw your radar detector is and the correct input, usb micro or usbc for example. wire to passenger footwell fuse box, and tuck wire behind door weather stripping, dash panel, and A pillar cover, tuck inside front of headliner and good to go. never had a radar detector but maybe they all use a cat 5/6 type input? that's what this one shows for valentine.

Rear view mirror not exterior side view mirrors

as i am an electrical engineer, i understand i could run a wire to the fuse box, current draw is 300ma max.
however, I was hoping someone on the forum has figured out how to tap 12 V behind the rearview mirror for this application.

There is and already posted on the Forum
And adaptor is available on Amazon if your review mirror is compatible

Search for rear view mirror or dashcams on this forum that use the power available in the rear view mirror

Do the search, you do have to pop open the rear view mirror and the connections are made inside .. sorry I wasn’t clear

if you can’t find the posts I can search later for you

Check with Blendmount. They sell mounts for your radar detectors that attach to the rear view mirror. There are different models depending on make and model of the vehicle as well as make and model of the radar detector. They have a wiring kit that allows you to connect to the rear view mirror. You can buy the wiring kits separately and they have instructions on how to do the hookup for your car. These mounts are typically fairly expensive (over $100) but there is a vendor on EBay that sells these much lower. I bought one to install a Uniden R3 in my Porsche but have not yet installed it.

Invest in some non marring plastic pry tools and pop that cover off. Check out the link dude sent you or do some more searching. Best way I’ve found is through google since sometimes the search function on forums isn’t the best.
