Ditched the Continentals and went with a fairly new tire in 235/65/17. Very happy with the look, the ride and the off-road capabilities. These did great in the outback of Wyoming and are nice and quiet on the highway. The 65K tread life is a plus as well compared to some older designs. Goodyear service centers were running a pretty good special with free install and $100 back. Next up is a 1.5" lift and nudge bar.

Coopers are solid. I have them on my MINI. We had them on the Edge my wife traded in on the BS, had 120,000 miles on them, she is not super hard on tires, just rotate every 10k

I like the look. How is the weight and fuel economy?

I suppose anything will feel heavier than those Continentals but I haven't really noticed the extra weight. Fuel economy is only about 1-2mpg less, more noticeable during in-town driving vs. highway. On my 62 mile interstate commute, I didn't see any loss of mpg.

I just installed the same tire in the size 245/65/17 on my big bend today. I like the tires but really not much of a size difference from the 225/65/17 continental that came with the car. I wish I went with 235/75/17 and dealt with a possible rubbing issue at compressed suspension/full lock..

I'd love to hear from anyone running 235/75R17's on a BS. I had rub on my Jeep Liberty, and didn't find it to be an issue. The only time your wheels are at full turn is at very low speed. It made noise, but didn't damage the tiress. The extra clearance on the Jeep was great, and I'd like the same on the BS. Clearance has been my biggest issue with my Badlands. A 1-1/2" lift and skid plates has helped a lot.

Ford was quoted in car and driver magazine saying the largest tire you could put on a Badlands or First Edition is 30.5 inches.

These look great! I’m having this tire installed this week but sticking with stock size: 225 /60 /18 in my case. This is my wife’s ride so not wanting to rock the boat too much. She’s already iffy on me putting A/T’s on there but she does like the look of the KO2’s I have on my Wrangler and agrees it compliments the off road look of the BS.

I really hate that I’m replacing the OE Michelin’s with only 25k miles on them, but they look like they have over 50k on the tread, so I’m not trusting them to perform in wet conditions anymore.

I went with the exact same size and tires several months ago and love them! Always had good luck with Coopers.

None so far but still new tires. Time will tell but after 5k miles and one rotation, they sound like they did when new.
