Went kayaking at Lake Nockamixon yesterday. This was the first time I've had the kayaks on the BSport. My wife's kayak is 14.5 feet long and my CD Storm boat is 17 feet long. I would have preferred the cross rails to be adjustable for optimal strap mount locations but this worked just fine.

How do you prevent the ropes on the front from rubbing on the painted surfaces?

I have cloth rags duct taped to the rope. The rags press against the paint and bumper. I used this method for years on my LR4 with no issues and this trip proved the same with the BSport.

Replaced the rear wiper blade — again. The front wipers seem to hold up, but the rear blade keeps rotting out for some reason. Today I replaced it using the rubber purchased on Amazon. Easy to do once you figure out how to pry off the wiper and the end cap without marring them. Only problem I had was keeping the two thin strips in place while inserting the blade with my arthritic fingers!

Whole job took maybe ten-fifteen minutes, and each Amazon strip makes (3) refills — so next time will be quicker; probably a five minute, $1.00 job instead of the $40 from the friendly Ford dealer ?

Fished a 9/16 OD fuel line through the weather stripping on wiper cowel to hood. Hopefully kill the hood shaking. Excuse the dirty bay and dead grass.

• Matte Black Overlay Letters Front & Rear

• Rear Smoked Chrome Ford Oval

• Rival Hood Gas Struts

I was going over the list of minor mods and accessories I've bought for the BS. It's easy to spend spend spend. That Chrome Oval, for example, is the official Ford Oval. Cost CAD$94, with a discount. It is fun to personalize the vehicle though.

Fished a 9/16 OD fuel line through the weather stripping on wiper cowel to hood. Hopefully kill the hood shaking. Excuse the dirty bay and dead grass.

Does that require the use of fish tape - if so just bought some 'reel' inexpensive fish tape on the river. Knew it would have many uses - could used one years ago.

Installed the side window deflectors / rain guards. These are the ones available from Ford. I like their low profile compared to third party options I've seen. I've included a few pics b/c it was difficult for me to figure out how to mount them, even with the instructions Ford provides. There wasn't any YouTube videos I could find that clearly showed how & where to mount them.
