I hope everyone had a great July 4th. Is anybody out there with a 2.0 Liter engine having any issues with the AC? For a year and a half, I have had my 2021 BS First Edition at Ford Dealer Service multiple times for warranty visits due to warm AC. When the AC is set to the lowest setting with air recirculated inside the cab, there is no cold air, each time I get the vehicle back it continues to blow warm air. A simple hand test against a vent indicates warm air. On the most recent visit, it was 85 outside. I ran the car for an hour at the lowest setting and the cab remained at 80+ inside. I used a thermometer and took a photo to show the service manager. They claimed the technician measured 60 temperature at a vent when tested. They also claim that 60 is as cold as it will get per the vehicle programming! I have owned two Escapes in the past with the 2.0 Liter engine and an Edge with the 2.3 Liter engine and the air was always nice and cold at the lowest setting. What further baffles me is the loaner Explorer they let me use blows ice-cold air at the lowest setting. What gives?

I feel insulted because they expect me to accept their bogus explanation. When I bought it the air was chilly like yours. I baby my BS stay on top of everything. Sometimes I feel like dealers hate warranty repairs and try to get away with doing as little as possible and not dealing with corporate getting their money back.

Just remembered that this happened on 2011 Mustang I had. One of the electric cooling fans stopped working. Might take a look at that, either running slow or just plain dead.

Even when I turn auto off and dial to the lowest temp setting there is no change. I should not be held hostage to factory temperature settings. I cannot transport my K9 Shepard anymore with these issues because I cannot cool him off.

My '21 Badlands will freeze me out on a 95 plus degree day. I would find another dealer, consider Lincoln dealers too, cause the dealer you are using cannot or will not fix it. Majority of dealers terrible service so you have to search around and find a competent dealer.

Most cars should blow at least 50 degree air out. 60 degree AC air is a poorly working system.

Sounds like your dealer is giving you the run around. Mine takes a bit to get the humidity out but that’s to be expected with the larger greenhouse/cabin volume. I turn the temp down to 68 until the humidity is gone and I start to freeze then turn it back up to 74ish.

I have mine set to remember the last climate control settings for remote start.

Tried it today with Max A/C the last setting and letting it run a couple minutes before hopping in.... 90 degree weather sitting in the direct sun. Much cooler inside by then and blowing cold.

This is on your 2nd compressor right? You had the original compressor and other parts replaced quite awhile ago? (After 16k miles)

You had the same issues on both compressors ?

They claimed to have replaced the first one in September 2023. Beats me these days mechanics plug in a computer pad and go by what it tells them. If it says nothing is wrong they move on to next vehicle in line.

All I’m saying is if the original compressor had the same problems you see now and the new compressor and the other new AC parts were installed September 2023 and the same problems occur again, perhaps there is a different issue. Maybe consider having a trusted AC shop look at it and find out why even the new parts installed September 2023 have the same issue as the original compressor had.

So you checked and it was 80 plus inside and it has been like this for a long time and the Ford Mechanic said it was showing 60 degrees. He's feeding you a line of crap IMO have they used dye in the system to see if it's leaking freon?

I don't think my AC has a problem. Today, it is over 100 and the car cools off, but it is working hard on MAX AC to do it. But I also think the system overall isn't quite as cool as the day I drove it off the lot. When the car was really new, the Auto temp set to about 68... that would blow so cold it would make my fingers hurt. It actually made me not like the Auto setting because it was always blowing so cold my fingers were sore. Now I can comfortably run Auto/Max and blast it right on my hands and arms. It's cold, but it isn't painfully cold. Sounds like you have a larger issue, but it does seem frustrating to get helpful help when you need it. GLWI.
