If the vehicle did not come equipped as you wanted it you could have refused to take it. Instead you took delivery of the vehicle & come on the internet to complain about not having it.

Hmmm… maybe you could step down from that high horse so we can discuss this. The poster missing the threaded eye wasn’t “missing” it, it was removed because the factory hitch on the Badlands didn’t leave space. Personally I think it would have been redundant as off-roaders would generally carry a shackle or chain to use the trailer chain points. On the beach where I work we pull people all the time using a tow hook in one trailer chain location. Rock crawling rescue would require using both or the receiver.

I am guessing that your Bronco Sports were built at least before July 2023. I had a 23 Bronco Sport on order and it was built around the end of July 23. The window sticker included a 20 credit for wifi hot spot removal. I assume your window sticker did not include the credit. I really did not care about the feature but I thought a $20 credit did not come close to covering what the feature probably would have cost to add to the Bronco Sport if it was an option. I ended up with a 24 Bronco Sport where the wifi hot spot was officially deleted and not included on the window sticker.
Same here. But my dealer lied to me and said that I did have it! When I contacted Ford they said I don't and that there were nothing they could do about it

$20 is just the start of the money you get. By not paying AT&T for the mostly pointless, tethered-to-the-running-car, can't make or receive calls hotspot you save at least $25/month. Just get a phone. Do you even lose any vehicle features?

Do not lose any vehicle features, as you said it’s an AT&T data plan.

I have the hotspot hardware but I didn’t sign up for AT&T monthly charge and the data is slow 4G (I used it during my free trial period) … because AT&T service in my area is not so good.

The one thing people do like is they have another service provider so offers redundancy (if they have a different cell phone provider then having the AT&T hotspot provides redundancy and they say it works in places their cell phone does not).

I used the wifi hot spot out of curiosity during the free trial period from AT&T. The promise is pretty awesome- watch videos for free while you're driving (their library was pretty good if I remember correctly), and be able to have signal for folks in your vehicle, and possibly yourself.

The actual delivery though sucked. The wifi is only 4G, and super, super slow. I'm out in the desert, so it's easy for me to get to places without cell signal. My vehicle lost service loooong before my phone did. Across 4 different western states, I never had signal in my vehicle when my phone did not. For those wanting to use the "full size antenna' for data service, you would have been sorely disappointed. If you're worried about contacting help, get an iPhone14 or newer for the satelite text feature. Your vehicle was never going to help you in that circumstance.

I've had this 'feature" off since before my free trial with AT&T even ended. Honestly, I'd be happy to take $20 from Ford to pretend it doesn't exist.

Same for me and in general all of AT&T services are poor where I live but in other parts of the country AT&T service including hotspot works well so some people love their hotspot.

So true. Where I live AT&T is great and Verizon isn't. We even use AT&T cell for home internet. When Rivian finally starts charging for their in vehicle hotspot, we may or may not keep it depending on what other benefits having the real time connection bring. I wouldn't keep it just for a hotspot.
