Never knew that was a thing. At least in Canada I never heard it was. Then again I am a very small sample size of Canada!Refusing outside financing is becoming more common. Dealerships get kickbacks from whatever lender they use, and given the loan sizes these days to purchase a new car the kickbacks can be sizeable. If a dealership's business model relies on those kickbacks to turn a profit then they can't sell a car without going through their lender. Seems stupid to make those kinds of business deals, but there it is...
