This was tested pretty thoroughly and found to be true in only very specific circumstances. Generally speaking, even the very loudest motorcycles cannot be heard inside a moving car with the windows rolled up if the bike is beyond 10m behind the car.

I knew I would find Mark S and get a balanced answer. I usually skip most responses till I find Mark! Then I just read the rest for filler.

Borla makes one that I just installed a few minutes ago. Paid around $825 with the black tips and free shipping from a place in Albuquerque NM
What do you think of your Borla? Did you get the S-type? Loud enough? Sound good?

Well, it’s actually on the wifes BS. So, I have the S Type on a MY22 Ranger 2.3 and management actually liked how it sounded. Borla only has the S Type for a BS 1.5 and it’s not as loud as the Ranger and management likes the new sound of her vehicle. With the Livernois Tune it’s a little more fun to drive.

Thanks for that update. I'm glad you like Borla. I don't think they make the ATAK for the 2.0 though. I think the S will be good though.

Why did you pick Livernois Tune? For the exact same price, I'd lean toward Pedal Commander. Although, what I'm really needing after the exhaust is hooked up is an actual tune so that the ECU will deal accurately with the CAI and exhaust flow.
I see that Vivid Racing, for $600, has a good tune.

I need to hear one. Unfortunately every Ecoboom I heard with an aftermarket exhaust just sounds like ass. The only exception to this was the Focus RS which sounded pretty good from the factory.

Well on the MY22 Ranger I went with the Ford PT. I went with Livernois as lots on the Ranger5G forum went with Livernois and we’re happy with the various tunes they offer. Had Ford offered a tune for the BS I likely would have gotten it. Oh, my wife, non car nerd, noticed an improvement in the shifting. Only so much one can do with a 3 CYL / 1.5 L engine ????

For Livernois, did you have to ship them your ECU to get tuned or was it all via a hand-held plugin only?

When you buy their tune they send you a device that downs data from the vehicle that you need to provide them on a tune request form. I asked for a tune for 91 - 93 octane. After you submit the form and in a few days you’ll get an email to download the tune. You use the same device to install the tune on the vehicle. Pretty simple.

Awesome. I emailed them with some questions. This is very similar to a tune I had that was via email for my Corvette that was a custom tune. I'm not sure how custom they can be for the Bronco though. Do you pay for the tune device, then another fee for the tunes?

I emailed my guy at Ford to see if there was a "Ford approved" tune and he was not aware of one, but did make it clear that anything that changes the tune would most definitely void the warranty.
