Looking for any input to help me decide. Think I am going with 235/65-17's.

@Maverick_USMC many forum members are using and recommending the Toyo A/T3 for on road manners and off road abilities. I hope some forum members chime in with their personal reviews. Let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you. :like:

I have the Toyo Open AT 3 on my 21 BB. 225 65 17s. They have been on for 3 months and they are awesome. I had Toyo tire's on my Exterra and I never ever had a flat with them. I'll never buy another tire.
I wish they were 245 but I was new to the bronco sport and I went with the Ford dealer managers advice. I lost about 1 mpg and barely any road noise. Highly recommend.

It it an optical illusion, or did you have those wheels repainted?

I also run Toyo OC AT3's in the same size. I've had them for the past two years and have been very impressed so far. Perhaps there's been a bit more tread wear than I expected, but it's a long way from being a problem.

I've inadvertently heavily abused the sidewalls on several trails and had no issues so far. They have great traction on rock/etc, do a good enough job in mud, and are also relatively quiet in the road. They're heavier than OEM tires, so your milage will take a slight hit, but that's the price you pay to not slice things open on a rock. They're tough and still pretty good on the highway.

I did the Toyo AT III on two different Sports, one 245 and one 235’s. I loved them both with the 245’s looking better but for my snow, sand, etc I liked the 235’s performance better.

Honestly, Maxxis is a OK tire, but it is not considered at the same level of quality as Toyo, Nitto, Falken or BFG. If you are deciding between these two, the Toyo is a better tire.

How about noise and wet grip on the open country at3? I will never see snow here, but rain, and ocasional mud, that I will find? Trying to decide between those and the falkens wp at3w as the wp trails are not available in Puerto Rico, despite being USA.

Toyo OC AT3 are awesome in the rain. I’ve driven through countless downpours on highways and city streets and have never felt the car lose grip. Great tire for wet weather.

Louder than OEM for sure but not crazy. You’ll be used to it very quickly. I only notice it now after I rotate the tires for the first little bit as they settle back in.
