We will never see the numbers - we will see lawsuits and a ‘new’ recall…

The powerbomb already has a terrible reputation out there…
If/when that happens then we can talk some more. Ford has been producing EcoBoost platform engines for more than a decade. Seem like if there were that many engines (every one of them according to you) with problems your predictions would already have come true. As far as I know, the issue of coolant intrusion isn't widespread enough to affect reliability ratings by any of the major ratings agencies. If you have data otherwise please share it. I contend that while there are some defective EcoBoost engines--which is true of every manufacturer's products--the overwhelming majority of EcoBoost engines function as designed. Time will tell...

I mean they have…there are at least 10 lawsuits over the 1.5, 1.6 and 2.0…

Plenty documented out there as well -

The latest Ford TSB on it is just another attempt to try to ‘fix’ something that is un-fixable.

Yet Ford doesn't seem deterred in continuing to produce the engines. Can you share your source of information about the ten lawsuits? Have any been actually litigated and/or settled yet?

The class action lawsuit I’ve been following is marked now as “Closed” with “Investigation Complete”… Last Updated on June 12, 2023

Easy to find by searching Ford at this link (the Ford EcoBoost Engine Lawsuit shows near the top since there was the recent update).

As far as I can tell the lawyers claim they have completed their investigation. No litigation, nor resolution yet. I probably don't have to tell you that a lawyer claims in a lawsuit is not factual, it's a starting position for one side of an argument.
ohh they are literally everywhere - quick google search for you:
ecoboost 2.0 coolant intrusion lawsuits
Yeah, I did that. It appears the majority of those links refer to two or three lawsuits. You said at least ten. I assumed you were keeping track. Do you have info about all ten lawsuits or is that number just a guess?

Two questions on the Coolant Leak issue:
1) If it's the Head Gasket causing leaks into the cylinders, am I wrong to assume that this would be covered by the 5yr / 60k Powertrain warranty?

2) My '21 OB is at 53k miles. And the coolant reservoir tank is bone dry with no noticeable leaks anywhere. I was going to add coolant. But now thinking I should take it in to have service check the engine. Thoughts??

All powertrain components should be covered. Yes, you should take it in. The issue is almost certainly a leaking water pump. BTW, put some coolant in the reservoir before you drive it again.
