Went in for an oil change and leaking coolant but it's no where to be found. After dealership has it 2 days they find this.

We did find coolant intrusion in two cylinders of you engine. The next steps are to pull the turbo off and inspect that for damage, if there is none then we will have to pull the cylinder head off and inspect that. There is a possibility it may just need a new turbo or possibly a cylinder head.

Dealership service staff great mechanics ewww let's say there was no pride in my repair/maintenance/quality control sucks. Long story that could be posted in the next day it has been 2 years and just under 60k. Anyone else hear about the 2020 court cases about certain eco boost engines having a coolant leaking the engine?

Different engine, IIRC. Not the same as your 1.5L 3 cylinder. Cheers!

Ohh yeah it's definitely different however I still think it's a problem with any eco boost engine.

On hearsay and this site and that site more or less the fact the fords rushed production of these issues and recalls on every model just different things. The poor quality of the product for what the price tag was I could go on however I love my truck. It should have any problems that protein to similar issues. Lawsuit has certain engines but is it hard to believe or think that there is still a problem with the quality control anywhere. So based on my experience I would have to take logic and facts and the fact is the coolant system is already having issues since every bronco has to have one replace sooner than later. My engine is having coolant intrusion in the 1.5 eco boost 3 cylinder engine..... ohh wait the 2 0 eco boost engines from the same dealer have the same issue. Ok if it's not a defect please explain to me and the dozens of people that barrier having the same issue with anything pass 2020.

DECEMBER 3, 2020 — Ford EcoBoost problems have caused a class action lawsuit that alleges 1.5-liter, 1.6-liter and 2-liter EcoBoost engines allow coolant to leak into the cylinders.

According to the lawsuit, these Ford and Lincoln vehicles allegedly suffer from cracked cylinder heads, inadequate seals and total EcoBoost engine failures.

This is not the same engine. The 1.5 liter Dragon 3 cylinder ecoboost was never in any of those vehicles.

Statements like this are why crap misinformation keeps getting perpetuated (like the infamous recall I will refrain from mentioning). Cheers!

What are you talking about here? You have incorrect information and are just confusing people with your gibberish.

Coolant leaking into cylinders are a sign of a bad head gasket. This is most commonly caused by overheating.

Engines fail. Go into any shop and you find failed engines. Could be a head gasket, who knows. You will find more failures on a form like this from Karen's coming to complain and gripe about it.

Several Ford owners have filed a proposed class action lawsuit against the automaker alleging a vehicle defect in the EcoBoost engine causes coolant to leak into the cylinders, causing the potential for engine fires and failure, misfires, collision risk, and costly repairs.
The 74-page lawsuit was filed by five plaintiffs, Robert Reed, Stacy Coppock, Craig Morford, Kelli Morford, and David Schiavi, on Nov. 30, 2020, in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.
The complaint raised a number of claims against Ford Motor Company surrounding breach of warranty under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, fraud, unjust enrichment, negligent misrepresentation, and violations of various consumer protection laws under the state laws of Colorado, Michigan, Kansas, and New Jersey.
The lawsuit asserts that the automaker knew about the Ford EcoBoost engine defect since 2010 based on pre-production testing and complaints made by consumers to the NHSTA but didn’t address the cause of the problem.

The plaintiffs in the suit argue that Ford failed to provide any solutions concerning the defect to those who owned or leased the affected vehicles, even if they’re still under warranty. The lawsuit claims that the only remedy Ford has offered for the problem is installing coolant level sensors. However, the plaintiffs argue that implementing the sensors doesn’t actually prevent the coolant from leaking.

According to the arguments raised in the complaint, “The Ecoboost Defect prevents Plaintiffs’ and Class Members’ ability to have safe, comfortable, and expected use of their Class Vehicles and leaves the Class Vehicles incapable of providing safe, reliable transportation.”
What Is the Ford EcoBoost Engine Defect Claimed in the Complaint?
The defect to the Ford EcoBoost engine results in engine coolant leaking through the grooves in the cylinder head and pooling as it travels through the engine, as stated in the complaint.
As a result of the alleged defect, the complaint asserts that there is not enough coolant in the engine to cool it, which can cause overheating leading to cracked cylinder heads, corrosion, damage to pistols and other internal components, engine seizure, or engine fire.
The plaintiffs contend that not only does the Ford EcoBoost defect result in the potential for safety risks and collision, but it requires those whose warranties have expired to pay for thousands of dollars for “exorbitant repairs and/or engine replacement.”
