What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

Picked up the final missing item for the engine bay today at my local Ford dealer. The Dash Insulator is what it is called. I didn't mind so much that Ford charges $46 + tax for this 1/16" thick piece of felt. What I do mind is that the four 3 cent plastic clips to hold it on are not included. WTF? Are you kidding me? The hood insulator I bought from them came with the friggin clips to hold it on!! It boggles the mind how they operate. Luckily I had some small push pins that I had to modify a bit to hold it on until the proper clips come in at Ford. More $$$. Rant over. ?

I had to order the dash panel from parts.ford.com because they offer free shipping and because the dash panel is over size no matter where else I tried to order the shipping cost was far too high. My local Ford dealerships typically do not offer or match the discounted internet Ford parts stores that I normally order from.

My own thought is primarily cosmetic with not much sound deadening or heat blocking but I’m not a mechanical engineer so that’s purely a guess.

also, for whatever Ford’s reason was, it was not standard on all BS models but I no longer remember which model(s) have the dash panel insulator as standard from the factory.

replaced brake light bulb. had to do the driver side earlier this spring, now the passenger side went.
for 60,000km of harsh weather and hard driving, i can deal with 2 bulbs lol.
