You're comparing wearing a seatbelt or helmet on a motorcycle to trimming 1inch off a pinch weld ??? Sorry, can't really agree with you on that.
No, that's not it. I'm comparing your statement that you would have "more issues" to worry about than a weak pinch weld if you have an accident to similar statements made by those who argue against wearing seatbelts. My assumption is the "more issues" you refer to would be injury or death. It doesn't make sense to me to weaken the structure of your vehicle designed (in part) to protect you in an accident if you anticipate injuries should you have an accident.

Ah ok I gotchya. I guess that's fair, assuming the structure has been weakned, can't really say for sure, just speculation, given the fact no tests or measures have been taken to truly confirm this. We could argue all day that the 1in peice of metal I trimmed off could weaken the frame in a given scenario, but we'll never truly know.

I do now know my tire won't rub and cause me annoyance when I reverse ?

Gave a good rinse today. Not 100% satisfied. Lacked some brushes and quick drying towel. Will buy them asap. But still tried to clean it as much as possible. Looks good. Loving my BSBB.

Finally got the engine cover mounting studs from Ford. I was able to install the engine cover and finish what Ford started. Although there are a couple more parts to really finish it on the way. This cover came off a wrecked 2020 Ford Escape. Now it has new life on my '23 BS. :)

Today my husband installed the Redline struts. He sent me a photo with the message "That was easy"
Likely his F150 will get some too now...pretty nifty!

Today? I ate some grainless tortilla chips as I was driving and left some crumbs in the console. Not my usual MO, but I was hungry and they were delightfully salty, like me.

Which reminds me, before I retired in May I used to eat my lunch everyday in one of my vehicles. No matter how careful I was there were always crumbs on the seat or even worse between the seat and the console. Now I eat lunch at home like a civilized human being and my cars stay clean. One of the many benefits of being retired. :turkey:

Got the Lasfit amber light bar installed. Wasn't to bad. Used grommet on passenger side, then ran behind glove box into the bottom console compartment. Re-sealed grommet with permatex. Def helps light up a little more in the distance.

Isn't it funny how we spend our careers eating, usually badly? I still have bad eating habits from a career in sales- both on the road and at desks. Same for my wife. We'd have dinner with our kids as they were growing up and be done inside about 8 minutes choking it down and leaving the table while they continued to finish like normal people. I'm very comfortable eating in the car and still look at the interior of any car I'm going to buy with the thought of how comfortably it can be eaten in.

Actually yesterday ... new tires and wheels. Sparco Gravel wheels and KO2 245/65/17. I love them! Thank you @RodNSA for the wheel inspiration and @Discount Tire for being a first-rate company to do business with.
