So for those of you that upgraded tires, how much more ground clearance did you gain and with what tire? I currently have the 235/65/17 Falkens on my badlands. Thanks.

You can go to a 235/70/17 Goodyear wrangler workhorse, they stand at 30 inch and clear without issues. .So for those of you that upgraded tires, how much more ground clearance did you gain and with what tire? I currently have the 235/65/17 Falkens on my badlands. Thanks.

Got it. So that would be a full inch higher than the Falkens I think. You can go to a 235/70/17 Goodyear wrangler workhorse, they stand at 30 inch and clear without issues. .

Actually only 1/2", since it's the radius that affects the ride height, not diameter.
Most likely too big, you would get rub when steering to full lock, or somewhere close to full lock.I’m not doing any extreme off-road stuff. Does anyone have any experience with 245/70/17?
Even with a lift installed? Most likely too big, you would get rub when steering to full lock, or somewhere close to full lock.
Yes, the rub is on the back/bottom side of the wheel well. A lift doesn't really change the relationship/gap between the tire and the point that rubs, unless you figure out how to raise the BS by 5-6".Even with a lift installed?
Your issue would be the extra 10mm it will rub . Mine has 235/70/17 the 235 is the trick , unless you get a little lift , the skinny tire is the answer. Meanderthal has the right math on this subject. This is my own opinion based on the last 4 months of use .I’m not doing any extreme off-road stuff. Does anyone have any experience with 245/70/17?

This is a hot topic that comes up all the time. I posted about my experience with a lift and 255/70/17 tires and some trimming of plastic. No rub and I really enjoy the ride.I’m not doing any extreme off-road stuff. Does anyone have any experience with 245/70/17?
I intend to run the same size tire, what size lift kit are you running? This is a hot topic that comes up all the time. I posted about my experience with a lift and 255/70/17 tires and some trimming of plastic. No rub and I really enjoy the ride.
