Had my first change yesterday at the dealership where I bought the vehicle. It was free, and I have 3 more free ones left. After that for oil change and tire rotation it will cost $70.
My local dealer said it would cost me $107 for oil change and tire rotation. Seems a bit pricey to me. Or am I just that out of touch?

Each shop is different. Ask what the shop labor rate is. Most shops around here are approaching $150/hr. A decent tech should be able to change the oil and rotate the tires in 30 minutes or less, plus time to do whatever inspection they do for "the works." Figure $75 for the labor plus parts, so $105 isn't completely out to lunch. If you have a modicum of know-how and a place to do it, you can change your own oil and rotate the tires for around $25 and an hour of your time. Plus you get to crawl around under your car for a bit and have a look-see for yourself.

Ford dealership where I used to take my truck charged $59.99 for the works. And I thought that was a great price since my truck takes 7 qts. Then COVID hit, and now they charge $90 for the same thing. I do it myself now unless I can find a dealer coupon for under $60.

I've seen some local dealership advertise The Works starting at $79 for 6 quarts.

It may be beneficial to pick up one of those Ford maintenance plans if prices on this looks like it's going up.

Also ask your salesman for a coupon. Every time I arrive at my dealership to order a part or whatever, he sees me and hands me a $10.00 off services coupon.

I have 3 in the glovebox. Can only use one at a time though.
