I don't notice more noise myself but I did get a bad case of hood shaking I never had before at highway speeds. Kind of un nerving it looks like the hood will lift off.For those of you who've installed the Aeorskin II, I've read that it causes a lot of wind noise and the hood rattles at highway speeds. What's your opinion on it? I bought one (not installed yet) and I'm now rethinking the decision.
200 points = $1.00What are these "points" worth dollar wise? I know I can use them to buy parts or accessories from a Ford dealer, but what's the dollar value? If I find it for a dollar value at Amazon for example, I'd like to know if it would be cheaper at the dealer using points plus cash.
Thanks! I could have handled the noise, but the hood shaking has me reconsidering something more aerodynamic.I don't notice more noise myself but I did get a bad case of hood shaking I never had before at highway speeds. Kind of un nerving it looks like the hood will lift off.
I'd pull it off but I'm about to put in my third windshield and I put this on to see if it will help with that situation. Thanks! I could have handled the noise, but the hood shaking has me reconsidering something more aerodynamic.
That's my thing, I'm in Houston and our freeways suck and I'm always getting rocks to the hood and windshield, so I thought the Aeroskin II would be a good idea. I've noticed the hood shakes enough sometimes just in driving, I don't need something else to make it worse. I've seen an Aeroskin low profile deflector on Amazon I may get instead.I'd pull it off but I'm about to put in my third windshield and I put this on to see if it will help with that situation.
Ya it's really strange, it lifts up in the back on each side flexing the hinges. Some high/low pressure going on. I'm wondering if ags might have some effect with the flow change over the hood. I only get the flexing usually over 70mph which I do everyday on a 75mph highway. Maybe needs a vent in the hood. That's my thing, I'm in Houston and our freeways suck and I'm always getting rocks to the hood and windshield, so I thought the Aeroskin II would be a good idea. I love it on mine. I can say for sure the BS hood rattles more than any vehicle I've ever owned, but adding the hood protector didn't make it any worse. No issues with noise either, although I generally have the music fairly loud. No downside at all so far for me.For those of you who've installed the Aeorskin II, I've read that it causes a lot of wind noise and the hood rattles at highway speeds. What's your opinion on it?
