We have a '22 BS Outerbanks. Approx. 4500 miles and mostly city driving. 24.6 mpg is where we seem to be locked in. We live in Michigan and our trips are mostly short to work/errands. However, i did use the ECO mode when we went upnorth to Traverse City last fall. Almost got to 26 mpg on that trip. Kept it between 75 - 80 mph. We would love to get closer to or over 30mpg.
Your best results with ECO mode will be for city driving. ECO mode lowers throttle response and modifies shift points to keep RPM low. Those strategies do little or nothing on the highway where throttle position and gear selection remain nearly constant.

Just adding my "two cents". I've got a BS BL (2.0L) with just over 4K on it. My driving is a mix of urban/suburban in the Chicago area. The best average mileage I've been able to squeak out is right about 25mpg using premium gas with mostly "normal" mode, and one or two passengers. I do use Eco when I remember it and sometimes Sport on merges.

I’m in the low 21-23mpg in city driving Uber in Los Angeles Stop and Go. I’m running 235 tires bf goodrich trail terrains 108t. I lost about 1-2mpg switching to the tires but they are excellent in most respects. Highway I lost im around 25|28mpg at 80mph. If I dropped the speed I’m guessing I would get 26|27mpg at 55mph I would be around 28|30mpg? is this mpg great, not really but it’s overall a nice car with a lot of ability. Today or tomorrow I tow 2,200 pounds so that should be interesting.

Thanks for the driving tip! I'll try it and see if it makes a difference.

2023 Badlands with 980 miles on it with wildpeaks and I am at 19.5 mpg roughly. Fairly normal driving. I hope it gets better as it wears in. My wife has 2021 Badlands with Scorpions or what ever that was stock and averages of 24.5 mpg.

Most every tank has averaged just a tick under 30MPG with our OBX, in mixed driving, mostly rural/"light suburbia" conditions.

I have a 2022 BB with the 1.5 L. I'm getting like 23.7 mpg in stop and go driving and the 1 trip we took was just over 33.1 mpg. The mileage figure is one of only a few things I like about the BS.

I purchased a new 2021 Bronco Sport, and I have less than 14K miles on it. Ford recently installed a new engine in it, the old one had coolant leaking into the head gasket. Anyway, the best gas mileage I have ever had is 24.4 miles per gallon. I see other with over 30 MPG. No one has posted as low as mine. What's the deal?

21 Sport Outer Banks with the 1.5 engine. I get 24 to 27 on the highway but less than that with the stop and go of city driving. Push it up over 75 and milage really goes down.

When I took delivery in January I had 40 psi in the tires from the factory/dealer. I lowered it to the listed amount of 33 psi. I am debating going up to 36 or 38 psi. Driving barely 3 miles one way does not help fuel economy.

I've had my 2023 outer banks for a couple weeks now and I'm averaging around 26-27 mpg, mostly short city driving, frequent braking and stops. I do put it in sport mode occasionally, but most of the time it's in normal mode.
