It is what it is, right? And my salesman texted me this morning and said maybe today is the day. I’m like dude, unless you know something I don’t, I don’t want a text unless it’s a picture of the sport on the truck or on the lot. He means well. Until then, I wax on and wax off…
Exactly! Just gotta wait and see. I'm the same way with salesman texts. I've only gotten two from mine so far. One back in November letting me know that there's no news (gee thanks) and one letting me know it was scheduled about four days after I received the email. Points for trying I guess. Unless he gets some news before Ford tells me like if my Maverick is previewing or something I don't need a "just checking in" text.

I Have never heard from my dealer. They just have the attitude of well when it gets here I guess we will call you. I plan to call FORD today for an update. They didn't have a rail car number so I can not do the automated thing.

Most dealers do not want to deal with the flood of "where is my vehicle" inquiries every single day. They would have to hire several people to deal with that work load, Ford does not tell dealer anything, and Ford does not care how long vehicles takes to get there. One of those big corporation out of touch with customers type of things.

My advice go focus on something else in your life to help kill the time. Its way too stressful of a thing to put yourself through. At one point I just stopped coming to this site and just went off an focus on other areas of my life. Then one day I get the call "its here you can pick up today".

I'm not as impatient about getting the car itself as I am just being able to turn in my lease so I don't continue to put miles on. There's a ton of dealerships around me that have 23's (the upside of living by Ford HQ's) pretty much like the one I ordered that I could just buy now, but my salesman has been too good to me that I have a bit of loyalty to him so I would hate for him to lose the sale so patience is just what I'm going to have to practice.

Side note though, the Ford customer service reps are very friendly when checking on the status.

My 2023 BSBL arrived at its last rail stop about 45 minutes from my dealer. Come on trucker!

Your dealer don't care if you walk plenty of other buyers. If you can find one in stock close by with everything you want color you want ect and good price I would go that route.

@Winds of Change @Suzysparks any news on your rigs? Mine is about 300 miles from Salt Lake where it'll be dropped. It's either gonna show up early (fingers crossed) or sit for a while somewhere as I'm still 11 days from the start of the estimated delivery window.

I believe mine is still in Kansas City. Yesterday I was told “soon”. My window ends on the 24th; so it would be anytime now, or I could bust it; again. I did hear my dealer say they have a truckload of cars sitting at the KC railyard, so if that is what they were waiting on; a full truck, load ‘Em up. My luck, mine would get left behind. ?

Dang, I was hoping to hear you were for sure on a truck headed that direction. You and I must have the same kind of luck. I'm one of those people that if I ever buy a lotto ticket, I'm one number off on all numbers.

From what I understand, once the cars get off the train and are at the rail yard, it’s a waiting game. They have no clue really when they get loaded on a truck. I’ve heard them say that some truck drivers call and give them a heads up that they are coming with a load, but they don’t have any clue what’s on the truck. Not all truck drivers call either. Many times the trucks just show up.

I wonder if some of that is area specific for trucking practices. My dealer was showing me when I was there all the manifests of truckloads they've received recently. It showed what was on each truck, what was sold to whom, what was dealer stock. That was his justification for not getting all financing paperwork done before it gets dropped off rail because they'll get a manifest of every truck that's loaded.

There's a very good chance he was just blowing smoke up my ass as well. After the debacle I've gone through with them trying to add the bed liner discount package to my Maverick order I don't trust them much. I'm not sure if it's intentional or incompetence but either way that's part of watching the tracker like a damn hawk. Sometimes ya gotta do your own due diligence.

I have no clue. But at this point it gets there when it gets there. I’m confident, I think, that it is at the rail yard. I’ve left the maverick orders alone. Not even touching those.
