Hello, I've been using the stock R18 wheels with 225/60/R18 A/T tires for a while now but wanted to change to bigger tires.
Is it okay to upgrade to 235/60/R18 without lift upgrade? (sorry newbie question)

225/60R17 stock to 235/60R17 with plenty of room left.
Base model, no lift.
This was only a half inch wider and I think 0.29 inches taller.
I have the 1.5L three banger.
Taller tires would hurt my roll out.
I like my gearing stock.
Heavier tires are harder to spin up. Watch the weight difference between makes.

I have 235-65-17s on my Badlands. The consensus seems to be that 245-65-17s are about the biggest, lift or no lift. It looks like the limiting factor is the size of the wheel wells.

This is a very minor change in height, you have nothing to worry about. :like:

You could go as large as 245/60/18 which is 29.5" diameter. This is the same diameter as 245/65/17 and 245/70/16. I think you are trying to use the stock wheels, so the largest safe size is 245/60/18 for those wheels.

A lift does not fix the rubbing issue on the BS. The rub happens on the bottom/back side of the wheel well when the suspension is compressed and the steering wheel is turned all the way. A lift would only change how compressed the suspension would need to be for the rub to happen, not if it will happen. For the BS it's all about the diameter of the tire.

I think HRG has a new taller lift and their suggested is 70s I think. . But I have the 1.25in lift and yes, the 245/65/17 are as big as you can go without rub.

I have 235 65 17s on myBB, and I have had no issues with rollout as someone mentioned. Then again, I have an afe air box, Flowmaster FX muffler and I installed a Peddle Max
