Hey David,
It sounds like something wonky is going on with the diverter door behind the dash to vent either condenser or heater core air flow. I hope the dealer finds a solution to this because I can only imagine how annoying that is.
+1 completely agree Bill! It's one of those things like when consumers buy a "waterproof" phone case. Yes, it can take some water, but isn't meant to be submerged underwater for minutes at a time.
Hey David! Congrats on your new, incoming Maverick Hybrid!
While I can understand your reaction to the Escape Hybrid, I think you'll find the Maverick much more charming and enjoyable to own. It definitely could use more power, but getting nearly three times the MPG of your F350 will never get...
Hey @LegacyXXII - I've seen this question asked before dating back to 2017 with F-150s. From what I can gather, the "Sent to the plant" phase means that Ford has completed all the necessary paperwork for your Bronco Sport and have it scheduled for production with the factory. The next status...
This is a pretty awesome bit of kit Dave! Innovative and cool that you made it have an OEM feel to it using the factory light switch panel. REDARC makes some great products too - ESPECIALLY if you're tired of bashing your knee on the brake controller :)
Hey @Phil_R - It all depends on how you've been driving it. The ECU/TCU does somewhat adapt to your driving style even in Normal mode. Keep in mind that 6th gear is a 1:1 ratio, while 7th and 8th are overdrive gears for cruising and fuel mileage. Were you driving up slight grades when it was...
Hey @Jessie.anela ! Sorry to hear about this. Is there any update you can give? Was a solution found? While issues do happen on new cars, better communication from the dealer while they have your car would put a lot more owners at ease. Not to take away from your sub-par experience, but these...
Like others have mentioned, synthetic oil has more pros than the conventional does. It is usually a little more expensive to change, but it will keep your turbo engine protected especially if you are using ALL of the oil change interval. If you are off-roading in hot climates and the engine is...
Wonder if they'll ever do some form of off-roading with a version of that  Whether it be the Dakar rally as an exercise for Ford's future EV programs or something similar. The Pikes Peak hillclimb would probably be a more realistic endeavor though.
@ohiooutdoors - We like the way you think. Getting your foot in the door with a Bronco Sport to start was a good decision until Ford irons out some of the issues with the full-size Bronco. The Sport is much more capable than people think.
:thumbsup:for the S3. One of our employees has one and...
With a mild snow covering, it's a toss-up between Normal and Slippery. They both do a great job. For driving in deeper snow (say more than 7-8"+), we have found that Sand mode seems to work the best. It gives more of the control to the driver as the driver aids intervene the least. No pesky TCS...
We updated our response. We were referring to the standard Badlands, carbonized gray aluminum wheels in 17" x 7". Those wheels are actually about 27 lbs each, scale dependent. The spare is closer to 20-21 lbs as Escape2Bronco weighed it.
Hey @cgui1971 ! How many miles are on your Bronco Sport now?
We wonder if the the bigger, heavier Fuel wheels have had a negative effect on your wheel bearings. The factory Badlands wheels are around 27 lbs each last we checked, and the Fuel wheels in that size are around 33 lbs. each. Usually...
We're late to respond here, but the 2.0L Bronco Sport runs a twin-scroll turbocharger, unlike the 1.5L motor's single scroll turbo. Ford doesn't list it as a K03S, as the turbo is incorporated into the manifold as one piece.
Part Number: K2GZ6K682B
Hello Jeff,
The 1.5L turbo is a great little engine. Its smaller turbocharger will make its peak torque way down in the rev range to get you moving from a stop and lower speeds. It won't, however, give you the same shove you experience in the Ranger, unless you upgrade the tune on the 1.5...
Hey @ashleyspearce9 - Sorry to hear about this. It's good to hear that the dealer found the battery in good health as that was our first thought for the cause here or something stop/start-related.
Stop-start is normal to shut off when in drive while on the brake at a stoplight, but it's strange...
