I just plasti dipped my 18's black a few weeks ago. Although I like my new rims and bigger tires way more I thought I'd throw the stock on and wear out the tires some to see how the ride felt.
I had to make them black to even put on temporarily.

I may do this over the weekend. I’ve been contemplating powder coating them but this will be a much cheaper solution to make sure I want them black.I just plasti dipped my 18's black a few weeks ago. Quick tip: Get some playing cards and insert them around the edge of the wheel and the tire (might want/need to air down) to keep spray off the tires. Probably still need a plastic bag or something outside of the cards. I’ve never done this but I’ve seen it recommended a few times.
First time I ever did it. Used 4 cans. My wheels been stored since 3 weeks after getting my bs last feb. Came out ok, I could do much better the next time. I would powder coat if I decided to put nice tires on and use them.
