Was shelbyville your off-ramp? For me, United Road told me a while back an exact address in New Jersey where they’d be picking it up for the trucking part of the journey. Right now that’s showing up as “Placed At Industry” on Union Pacific railroad. I’ve been getting the faxes from their automated trace system, this is what it looks like:
I didn’t think Union Pacific traveled that far east. Shelbyville was my off ramp, but the train continued on after Shelbyville so I don’t know if it dropped off just mine or others, too. It also might have picked up some F-150s or Explorers because it is a yard that is used for both pick up and delivery.Was shelbyville your off-ramp? How do you know which company is handling it? Both UP and Norfolk Southern are giving me information when I call (NS is usually more updated). The only thing I know for sure is that CSX isn’t handling it, because their information is totally inaccurate when I call them.

Yes, that’s it, I see a trucking company but not rail. I’ll keep looking and maybe @thekingprawn has some answers.
It looks like it will be Norfolk Southern or CSX. I would try CSX and NS just to make sure. One of them must become an independent/other rail line closer to the destination; I have no clue how to track CSA.
Ramp codes are 4 digits. Should be on the window sticker.
What does the ramp code tell you? I don’t see that on the AAR document.
The ramp code can tell you where a vehicle will be unloaded. It's not on the AAR document. The codes are Ford specific, the AAR uses a different system. Some people have been trying to catalogue the Ford codes, but the list is incomplete. The AAR list is good because it shows what loads and unloads at each ramp and which railroads services them. It would be nice if there was a single repository for all the information, but mostly it's a lot of cross referencing, informed opinions, and guesswork.
Did yours say it was in hold status for the time it was there? Mine changed to that as of this morning.
By the time it hit St. Louis I was only using Norfolk Southern because UP was nonsensical. It didn’t say anything about hold status.
I’ve been using CSX so I’ll try the others and see what they say!
I never used CSX because mine didn’t travel that way. It would have been nice to know it was in hold status. Waiting for it to move again was torturous.
