Now that my anger is subsiding, I will admit that knowing something (despite how unprofessional the communication from @Ford Motor Company ) is better than the state of limbo I’ve been in. Looking at Renegades, but not in love with them they way I was with this one. I will give it a few weeks and see if there is any movement.
We are in this far let’s see it through! Some people waited 9-12 months last year I think. Hard to be patient though.

Done all I can do. Have case number and called and gave it to their escalation group. Wrote and mailed letter to Mr. Farley as a concerned stockholder. Hate to say it but may be time to buy more stock. Also, I am really leaning towards ordering a Bronco.

gonna put an order in for a 4Runner and see which one comes first.
since Toyota doesn't do orders, would be interested in seeing what your dealer could get

I’ve had a case number since July 20. They were supposed to get in touch with me by the 22nd. A week later I was told they would be in touch within 48 hours. Crickets.

Don't worry folks, you can get a 2022 model in 2024 at this rate.
I called earlier today and they SAID it was on a chip hold but isn't anymore and is now awaiting shipping.

This is unacceptable. I havent been able to sell my convertible based on these delays , and a convertible muscle car doesn't sell well in winter(because it is NOT a desirable car for snow driving)
That would make sense since mine has been in the rail yard two miles away from the plant.

Hey everyone, long time lurker, first time poster. This thread has been great in helping me out in this crazy process. I too, was a July 4th production casualty. I reached out to my dealership today and they said, "Just checked the system, your vehicle is indeed on microchip hold. Unfortunately there is no ETA on it, it can show up in a few weeks, or it can show up in a few months".

Looks like I'll be continuing waiting with you all. Misery loves company, I guess.

Yes, so many of us has been told no hold and car is produced.

those of who had a copy of thatstatement may want to send them back to Ford.

and, some of our cars has been shown in our dealerships as in transit or even recent arrival (like mine)

Sometime you have to just say WTF!?
Who would you send it to? They’ve made sure you can’t contact anybody in writing.

I’m just getting around to looking at posts from today. So disappointing to be lied to as I’ve been told in writing in the chat that I have no holds on my vehicle for 5-6 weeks now. I just verified through the chat room asking for a secondary visibility report that I am on a chip hold as well and more than likely, my Poor bronco sport sits outside while others that were ordered well after mine are produced with chips and shipped and received. “Ford, this is a very poor way to do business.” It will catch up with them at some point.

I’m hoping you are not thinking that will be faster. I’ve had a reservation for a 2 door going on two years. Officially ordered Jan 2021, re-ordered in October 2022 as a ‘22. Will be doing it again I’m sure this October for a ‘23. Maybe if you are looking for a four door softtop Big Bend, you have a chance.

Definitely looks like a chip hold, being a car guy myself I went and looked through the module list. Looks like the 716 module on my build isn't populating any data. I never scrolled down that far previously, so it would seem as if this module is what's likely holding up works. Still haven't heard anything more from my dealer. I did ask about shipping, but they said they didn't have any shipping details yet to even start looking.

Is there supposed to be all three columns of data there? I have quite a few that don’t have three. My 716s have always had only one column of data. I thought someone else said that was normal.

Don’t understand the module list but all of the 716’s has the first column populated.

Yes, in my experience all of the columns should be there if the module is working. That isn't to say that our particular models even use this module. They might not, because we don't have access to the PCM modules the chipset that's missing could be there. Without having a side by side to working BS with the same options I couldn't tell you 100% if this is definitely the culprit. The program I use is called FORscan I use it to change parameters on my cars like disabling the auto start feature for good etc. The modules in the program are listed in English instead of by their address like they are on the AS-Built Data. This is because the program is reading and interpreting those addresses. The first column is the address, the second 2 columns are typically data and then the last column is your checksum, basically, it's how one car can have heated seats and the other does not, and they both use the same module part number. They're just coded differently at the factory.
Ford Bronco Sport July 2022 Waiting Room Forscan Example

This is how Forscan displays all of that information, anyway if you want to know more here's a video on how this all works.

Having a module with some values missing could be that they aren't receiving data because you don't have some feature. Say you have remote entry but not remote start, the module would be the same but the module wouldn't be receiving data for the remote start antenna because it doesn't exist, but it would be receiving data for the remote entry. So you'd have the address line for remote start but no data and no checksum.

So one module missing information for one or two addresses to me would be normal, for it to be missing all of them would be strange. Hope I'm making sense lol.
