Some very similar builds at dealerships less than 100 miles away from me when I expand my search radius. That might be an option. Some are waiting for delivery, some are already there.

That would not be my choice. If I’d not wait for what I ordered with at least $3000 price difference, no way I will buy another BS with current sticker price… not to mention most dealership here has a mark up.

I’d walk away from this BS and never look back. The only thing holding me back now is that the BA BL fits what I need/want at a reasonable price. other choices are slim.

Got on a chat. Your vehicle is in final production stages and currently waiting on a chip as of July 5. Why did we just find this now. None of it makes sense?!?

Yes, so many of us has been told no hold and car is produced.

those of who had a copy of thatstatement may want to send them back to Ford.

and, some of our cars has been shown in our dealerships as in transit or even recent arrival (like mine)

You have to ask for the secondary visibility report. Many times they won’t bother unless you ask.

I found one with a mark up and decided to wait....wish I had paid the mark up now

Now that my anger is subsiding, I will admit that knowing something (despite how unprofessional the communication from @Ford Motor Company ) is better than the state of limbo I’ve been in. Looking at Renegades, but not in love with them they way I was with this one. I will give it a few weeks and see if there is any movement.

I asked my dealer “now what” after informing them of the chip hold? The dealership manager is trying to contact someone at Ford and see if any further info can be gained. I was told by them however, in the past when one of their vehicles was waiting on a chip, it took 5 months?

Don't worry folks, you can get a 2022 model in 2024 at this rate.
I called earlier today and they SAID it was on a chip hold but isn't anymore and is now awaiting shipping.

This is unacceptable. I havent been able to sell my convertible based on these delays , and a convertible muscle car doesn't sell well in winter(because it is NOT a desirable car for snow driving)
