Sent you an email, concerning my order on 6/19 and have left two phone messages, one before and the other after that date and have received no response!?
Flatout called me a few days later and we are all good.

I’m sorry, I thought I had replied. You wanted to make sure we had you down as a Bad Lands model if I recall. Done and noted.

Teaser time!

Ford Bronco Sport Flatout Suspension lift suspension!! D09D5767-6ED4-4212-BAB1-C84C00E38CA1

Next step is to test the spring rates. I’m installing a set of soft Eibach barrel springs because I’m a candidate for our comfort spec rates.

*production versions will use blue King Offroad springs. I had these here, so they’re the testers. Our King spring order is inbound an due in later this week.

Once installed I’ll go up to 1.5” (Outer Banks) and I have a set of Matte Black Method 701 wheels ready.

Looks good. Do they take standard 2.5" ID springs front and or rear? I kind of wish you had some of Eibach's premium barrel springs or Hyperco's as an option. What spring lengths and rates are you considering and what kind of spring rate range should the shocks be good for? I have typically swapped out almost all springs, on coilovers I ever got for either Swift, Eibach or Hyperco's.

Nice. I'm waiting to see what happens with the BL lift - driveline issues and what is done to compensate. This looks like a very clean, better-than-OEM system so far, definitely on the table for me in the near future if alignment and driveline wear can be addressed.

They are good 'ole 2.5" ID springs! I'm actually toying with the idea of offering these with the Eibach barrel springs as we have them fitted to the testers. Alternatively, I really like King springs as they are more offroad than Hypercos. For the springs, 12" front and back allows for a quick an easy baseline of 1.5" lift with room to grow upwards of 3". The shocks are valved in the "off the shelf" version to accept 200-350lbs which covers comfort to overload. You won't need to swap these, they will come with premium springs from Eibach or King (likely King as it goes with the silver and blue vibe). Swift, they're great, but it always seems to be the polished on the turd of a cheap coilover.

We are including rear camber arms and toe spacers in all three versions of our GR models. The only thing left to test fit is the subframe spacer kit. Lifting a multi-link to 1.5-2" is a very modest lift in relation to driveline stress.

I set it up to be 1.5" higher than stock, which keeps the OEM rake (rear sits a touch higher). I did this because I have to expiriment with different set ups. If you notice in the rear, it's +1.5" and I haven't even adjusted the rear spring...which means there's an easy 2" of height available. Same for the front. As this is an Outer Banks model, the shocks are 1.5" longer than stock, so at 1.5" lift it uses the same droop/ compression geometry as OEM. For the badlands, they are 1/2" longer to compensate for the already increased ride height to get a true 1.5-3.5" lift.

I don't recommend going over 2" until we have the subframe spacers available.

My (biased??) impressions...I'm an honest guy, so I'm sure my impressions will align with the others that have orders in...

Installation was a breeze, everything went in without a hitch. Up front, the hardest part is getting the endlink bracket (it's adjustable on the shock body) in the right spot and then getting the sway bar back into position to bolt up the endlinks. That's more related to the sway bar bushing binding the sway bar and not a product issue. You'd have to manhandle the bar with any lift kit. We had to pry just getting them off the OEM, so reverse wasn't a shock.

In the rear, the arms like to pivot and lining everything up to install is a two-man job. One pries while the other lines things up. Again, just bushings. It's a lot easier when everything is loose.

Luckily, our Bronco has a mere 2100 miles, so nothing was seized or dirty. Everything came out easily.

Now for the most important part...ride quality. I immediately felt the ride quality within the first 20 feet of pulling it out to drive around the parking lot to get things to settle so we could make adjustments. When I say it rides like OEM; I'm not kidding. It might even be softer...just a touch softer. Spring rates are perfect. Shock valving is perfect. I have them set on full soft right now because I have the softest spring rates available. I am absolutely floored with how the feel. Like, I know what we do and what we've done, but to get to experience it first hand is always nice. If this gives you any indication...I drove over and picked my wife up from her shop today and we got a mile or so down the road. She said "Hey I thought you were putting that suspension on today??" I smirked and said. "Babe, I did..." she looked at me confused and said "It feels exactly the same, why would anyone pay to have the car feel the same?" For context, I have a WRX that's lowered 1" on a 3-way track suspension. That's her comparison. So, as in her mind, it's negative, what she's saying to me, and you, they ride like stock. I think that's a huge win. Granted, this was at city speeds...out suspensions actually get smoother over fast and rough terrain (remember, we make rally suspensions).

So, officially, they are ready to be released into the wild. We've figured out all the reasons you're going to call or email with tech help and we know exactly what to do. All that's left now is to write the instructions for the DIY types.

For you guys in the Mid-Atlantic, we are HIGHLY recommending Felix Performance in White Marsh, MD (just NE of Baltimore off I-95) for installations. We did our install there so he could see (and help) so he could tackle these installs for us. You can contact Melanie or James at (443) 626-4698. The address is 11250 Pulaski Hwy #3, White Marsh MD 21162.

*We installed the GR Plus on ours...reason we didn't go all out on the GR40 was we wanted our mid-level because it shares parts from both.

Sooo... when do the 35's go on?

Nice work, looks great and staying even close to stock ride quality is a huge bonus. But in all seriousness, I can't wait to see it with some larger, more aggressive tires.

Tomorrow!!

17” Method 701 beadlocks in matte black with 245/60/17 Falken Wildpeak tires are getting mounted and balanced. We’ll pick them up and put them on tomorrow!

Can you please elaborate on this? My main concern is stress on driveline components such as the CV joints. As I mentioned in a previous post, a Maverick owner posted on that forum about having to pay for new CV joints after installing a 2" lift. Ford blamed the lift for the CV joint damage; it claimed the lift increased the joint angle beyond spec for the part.

I had crunched some numbers and figured ~250lbs spring @ 14", on my Badlands. Do you think that would necessitate more than a 1.5" lift. 1.5"-2" was my target, if that was in your recommended optimum lift range.

If you want 1.5-2", the 250lb 12" spring will do it with room to spare. If you do a 14", you will end up with a 35.5 ground to arch height with the rear adjuster at the minimum height.
