LOL...But, there is a real machine in your case........ours is just vapor at this moment. There are several different levels of the agony, like Dante's description of hell. I'm currently in one of the deeper levels where my BS is sitting at the railyard waiting on a truck to haul it the last 165 miles.
Here are the ramblings of a bored middle aged dude on a Friday.I think its crazy all you guys wait 5 to 8 months for this car... ford dropped the ball with these new broncos and mavericks.. i know there is a pandemic but ford is only one taking 5-8 months to build a car.. and then short people on parts and dont credit them for not including features that should be on it.... Ford is getting greedy with its crazy prices and cheaper parts its using.... That awd system does not make up for everything else ford fucked up... Ive always said you pay for what you get, but over the past 7 years or so that has not been true with a ford.. They are the most expensive car maker in my opinion for what you actually get.. My neighbor next door has a 22 xlt f150. Its a 60k truck. And still has a cloth seat( thats fuckin crazy ) that same truck 4 years ago was 45 grand and had better matrrials used on interiors... And then you guys pay markups for a sport... not worth any extra money in my opinion.. no car is.. if i didnt get mine for a grand under msrp i would not have bought.. i also would not get with recent price hike .. to each his own. Just wanted to vent
Ive always custom ordered.. but it was always 6-8 weeks . From order to delivery... These times are extremely different.. and shipping anything big right now is a pain .. even kayaks are delayed by months...Here are the ramblings of a bored middle aged dude on a Friday.
Full disclosure, my wife is the one who owns a Bronco Sport. I have not, nor would I ever be in the market for this type of vehicle. To me, near all of them should just be named "Generic_Compact_SUV." I have no love for Ford and have a love for sports cars, including the 2-door Wrangler. Legend says Enzo Ferrari called the Jeep Americas only true sports car, and that's good enough for me!
Anyways, Ford is not the only one removing content nor are they the only one taking 5-8 months. GM, BMW, Porsche, Tesla, Mercedes, and a few others have also removed content. Wait/build times across many manufacturers are high, some even higher than Ford. A few examples I know of are:
Corvette - 9-12 months. Friend of mine is on his 6th month.
Porsche - Anywhere from 6 months to "LOL you will get it whenever we feel like"
Jeep - Hit and miss. Some folks get theirs in a couple of months, some are still waiting after 6.
And while I am at it, let's talk tracking.
Chrysler/Jeep - Several years back they had the VOTS system but pulled access to it long ago. You can find places that can still sorta kinda access it but they charge a fee and at anytime Chrysler can stop access by patching the system.
Chevrolet - Back around Jan or Feb they started an alpha test for tracking Corvette orders. They have a very fancy system that..... emails you at different points of the build. That's some modern day tech right there!
Porsche - Now they actually have a very slick order tracking system. Friend showed it to me for his order and wow they give you plenty of details. But of course you can't track all Porsche models, just the 911, Taycan, and 718 GTS. And you are looking at 100 - 150k plus for those vehicles.
Tl;dr: Ordering a vehicle sucks, near all manufacturers have crap for tracking, and you should never custom order ever.
If the numbers represent place in the queue and total to build, then yea. Our week will be a big one with 3052 to be built. You and @Jubaea1 are in different build weeks... So weird
Lol. I laugh because I've been in or worked for the Navy for 30 years, and the military is the absolute champion of obsolete tech.emails ... That's some modern day tech right there!
Except now when there is no dealer stock.you should never custom order ever.
I suspect the delivery estimates are very generic, basically 5-6 weeks anywhere in the country from the build date.
I actually did that rant on a thursday. And every other car your naming are high end luxury cars that dont produce that many anyway.. vs a normal car from ford that they just werent ready to produceHere are the ramblings of a bored middle aged dude on a Friday.

Heh, I threw that in as a bit more tongue and cheek. And it's not like I will follow my own advice. I have been toying with the idea of ordering a VW ID.Buzz when they become available in the States. Why? Because I am a silly person and fancy the idea of owning a hippie van in my older years.Except now when there is no dealer stock.
Difference of opinion I guess. Porsche I consider high end luxury. Jeeps and Corvettes not so much, even if they are charging high end prices these days.I actually did that rant on a thursday. Schrödinger's Bronco Sport: it both exists and doesn't exist until my ass is in the seat.LOL...But, there is a real machine in your case........ours is just vapor at this moment.
What week am I in?You and @Jubaea1 are in different build weeks... So weird
711/1132.. you are 771 out of 1132What week am I in?
I suspect they are trying to get as many through as possible before the two-week shutdown. That is why a lot of build week notifications are bouncing around. There seems to be a bunch of Maverick Hybrids that are being pushed into August so that makes more room for Baby BroncosIf the numbers represent place in the queue and total to build, then yea. Our week will be a big one with 3052 to be built.
