All of these posts make the prospect of tracking my order less and less appealing every day. I just don't need to be this stressed about a vehicle. As long as it arrives before we get snow again, I think it will be all good. Of course when my actual build date comes around, I may need to be reminded of this post.
I’m just hoping this vehicle arrives before my current car decides it wants to die.

I’ll try texting my guy. Hopefully he gets back to me. I just find it weird that I got two different answers. I’m also a little impatient cause it was my birthday present lol
It sounds like you are in the same boat as me. Our's are probably being built together, I had the same 5/27 invoice date. Hopefully they are built this weekend. They likely will be shipped together as well since I am in OH and you are in NY.

They might be. At this point I just might go to the plant and check on the status and finish it myself ? jk

Sounds like you're in about the same scenario I was in. If the factory slowed down again (and that seems very possible considering the number of people getting bumped back a week multiple times) then you're probably looking at 17-18 days after invoice date to get built status. The conflicting info you're getting is probably from different people not pulling the vehicle visibility report to give you the most detailed information. Here's an example of the VVR and the type of data that is present on it. Some units will have extra steps, but the example is basically how it should work. Factoring in the assumption of factory slow down plus your invoice date I'd expect to see modules populate on the tracker app late Saturday at the earliest, more likely on Monday, possibly as far out as a or two after that. It's frustrating as hell, but it will end. Then you can enjoy shipping!

I found this on the Mach-E forum and thought it was an interesting read.

Ford Ordering Process
Ford Scheduling Process

So, I've been watching all the threads on ordering and scheduling and could not figure out the rhyme or reason to how it works.

Did a search, not sure how accurate, but it made a lot of sense:

Here is the summary. URL for original post at the end and is a very good read, it has examples of vehicles, dealers, allocation, and commodities coming together.

Order Types
  • Stock - Blue Window Sticker
  • Retail - Sold, assigned customer name, price protection, Green Window Sticker
  • Fleet
Priority Codes
  • Range 1 to 99
  • Dealer sets 10 to 99. 99 will not get scheduled, dealer use as a placeholder
  • Ford Regions/Divisions Prioritize below 10
Allocation
  • Based on dealer sales (More you sell the fewer you have on lot, the more they get)
  • There are provisions for smaller dealers when activated
Commodities (parts on hand) Wednesdays
  • supply issues
  • short term shortages
  • material HOLDs
  • supply vs demand on parts
Scheduling (able to build) Thursday's night
  • based on Commodities and Allocation
  • Dealers with allocation - list is generated in random order via computer
  • selection is done via rounds through list - round 1 takes 1st order from each dealer with allocation, then round 2, etc.
  • if allocation but no commodities, dealer order is skipped
  • Scheduling Status
    • Matl HOLD - something missing, can't schedule
    • unschd/clean - No Schedule, waiting on allocation or commodities
    • submitted (VIN)
    • scheduled (Build Date / VIN)
    • locked in (No Changes)
    • bucked (on the manufacturing floor)
    • produced (Built)
    • release from plant (Inspection, Available to ship)
    • arrived at ramp

That is interesting for sure, thanks for sharing! I’ll have to go read the whole thread over at their forum now.

I have been digging around for some current estimates on wait times for orders placed at end of May 2022 for OB with tow package. So much to learn and dig through so I thought I would ask. I didn't want a lot of extras and didn't have to pay the upcharges on orders so I went that route. Wasn't in a big hurry only to hopefully have it delivered before snow flies again in the north east. Any guess as to when I should expect more information from Ford? I got the confirmation email the May 28th when I ordered it, nothing since although it has only been two weeks. Thanks

There really doesn't seem to be any pattern/logic to when your order will move to "scheduled". Once your order does get "scheduled" there is a little more predictable timeline, although that has been falling apart in the last 6 weeks or so too. Lots of builds have been postponed multiple times by a week each time. It's not uncommon in recent weeks for a build to be postponed from the original build week by 3 weeks.

Once it gets built, there is also inconsistency in the shipping. Obviously, where you live is a factor. The closer you are to Hermosillo, MX the quicker the train part of the voyage. Lots of areas seem to be having some issues getting trucks to deliver the vehicles to the dealerships.

Getting scheduled is the big hurdle, after that there can be delays but at least you can see some light on the horizon. For some, seeing that light just makes the waiting that much harder.

Mine has departed some unknown location and arrived at another unknown location. It's like Ford told Union Pacific to not give me information because of how entertaining it would be. Still the same ETA in Portland though.

What is the ETA for Portland? I would think from there it wouldn't take very long to get to you. I have driven to Portland a few times.

Portland ETA is tomorrow night, 11:29PM, which seems a little too precise. From there it's 4ish hours up I-5 to the dealership, once it's on a truck, which I understand is the biggest part of the problem right now.
