Wow why so expensive. Your getting charged 500 more for delivery.. and seems your msrp is to much as well.. mark up ??
Price increases. Everything is costing more these days. Even to corporations. The fuel costs to delivery the vehicles has gone up. Delivery went up 100.00, not 500.00. I’m not condoning it, just want everyone to realize that everything will be going up. I think only the delivery price and fuel tank fill up cost are not price protected. They should only pay based on the MSRP that was set at the time of purchase.

just last week Ford just increased the Base, BB, and OB trims by another $300.

I don't know if all other manufacturers are doing the same. I just know Rivian in March hiked the MSRP by over 20%, and now they no longer allowed "order" but just reservation. so when you "reserve" a car, there is no pick of options or a fixed price. it is determined when the car getting close to be built and they will offer you the options that is available. of course, their "reserve" and delivery time frame is way over a year.

and did you read about what Ford is considering in the future?

That must be Canadian dollars. I just maxed out a Badlands with every option possible on build and price at 44k. 10k more than I paid for mine but when people are getting 5k more than what they bought theirs for, what would you expect? Again, I’m not cheering for price increases but not sure anyone should expect manufacturers not to increase their prices when incoming material prices increase. It like people not understanding why it cost more at restaurants when food prices go up.

Yes, if that was my example yes up to $53K CDN now (vs. $48K when I ordered or about $38K US). About $42K US. That is absolutely getting pricey to begin with but I can’t imagine one of these being >$50K US. But then with your trade you’ve seen what other models can be bought for too, so hopefully pricing is held in check a bit for now.

Yes. It appears Ford feels like everybody else in this country that we the people should pay for all the pain that our incompetent, brain dead, POS president has blessed us with.???

Cant wait for all the stealerships to close their sales floor and become service stations only.

Under current laws and contracts this will only effect the EV brand, which has been separated from the historical business likely just so it can be taken this route. There will eventually be follow on effects on the ICE side of the company, but that will take more time, sadly.

Price increases are incredible & for some reason (constraints on producing enough 2.0s?) they seem to disproportionately affect the BL. Unfortunate as it seemed like an easy bargain last fall. $48K at time of order, $53K on the window sticker. Not that I wouldn’t have anyways, but now I’m doubly glad I kept this paperwork as it shows & proves the previous price.

When I ordered I recall an Escape Titanium was about $44K, which might be about where the OB BS was as well. Both those on build & price tonight, at least as close as to what I recall, are now $47K. For $53K if I stuck out of the options list you could get into a Corsair for that. Mind you if I went that far I’d want to get into checking too many boxes & blow any value & budget right out of the water.

Still the best vehicle for me, I’m just glad it cost $5K less (Yes all these figures are in Monopoly money for those wondering) at time of order.

EDIT: Ok had to go back & try a Maverick just to see. Lariat with Luxury & FX4 seems to be as close to my BL order as I could come up with. $44K. I mean good luck getting one, but still. Kinda seems like a bargain in comparison.

Yes. I’m glad for price protection. Since mine has shipped now apparently, my plan is to text my sales guy tomorrow & make sure he’s aware of price protection & knows what procedures he has to do on his end to make that happen. Before I get to the dealer & we get into it after I’ve waited this long.

With parts, labor, materials, shipping all continuing to go up with no end in sight its likely Ford will keep raising prices.
